Does such a thing exist? Is it all hard-hold for very high dews?
fine - normal porosity*?- medium density - normal elasticity. Hard water. SoCal.
*Used to be low-porosity, but I lightened my hair 1-2 shades, so I may be normal-porosity now.

New climate! Current favorites:
Low-poo: CJ Gentle Cleansing Shampoo, Giovanni SaS
RO: V05 Kiwi Lime
Styler: UFD CM (old formula), FSG + CNPF
PT: CJ Repair Me, IAgirl's gelatine

Experimenting with: JC Confident Coils, JC Rockin Ringlets, CJ CIAB, gelatin gel

Okra or flaxseed gel? Or just water down a harder hold gel, maybe even make it into a spray gel.
2a-2c, medium texture, porous/ colour treated. Three years CG. Past bra strap length heading for waist.

CO-wash: Inecto coconut/ Elvive Volume Collagen
Treatments: Komaza Care Matani, coconut/ sweet almond oils, Hairveda Sitrinillah
Leave in: Fructis Sleek & Shine (old), Gliss Ultimate Volume, various Elvive
Styler: Umberto Giannini jelly, Boots Essentials gel
Flour sack towel, pixie diffuse or air dry.
Experimenting with: benign neglect
I sound like a broken record lately, but I have found Uncle Funky's Daughter Curly Magic to be terrific in these high summer dews. It has a light to medium soft hold, and once it dries and I SOTC, my hair feels productless.

Med-coarse, normal porosity, low elasticity

What do you use under/over it? I can't use a lot of product like sealers etc because my hair is fine and on the lower end of the porosity spectrum.

If you like the hold in FSG, you'll probably like the UFDCM CM as a stand alone styler. I use it interchangeably with FSG and okra gel. The hold isn't enough for me, but I ALWAYS use a hard hold gel over everything.

On their website, where it lists the "key" ingredients, there's a box below that that says "view full ingredients". I'm not sure how it is on the mobile site, though.

It doesn't dry crunchy. And be sure to try it on DRY hair too, as a refresher. Grab a clump and smooth it down each one for definition, or smooth it over your canopy for instant reclumpification (lol- new word of the day).

And have you tried okra gel yet? Made a new batch last night and also added some flax seeds and double agave. Used it today...and, as an experiment, used it ALONE (no gel on top) and it had enough hold for me!

Right now, I'm using UFDCM alone (no leave-in), and having fairly good results, which is unheard of for me. I almost always use a hard hold gel over my stylers, and I have tried BRHG over the UFDCM, but it doesn't seem to really do anything (which is odd, since BRHG usually improves the hold of every other product I've used it over).

I hadn't really thought about it being a high humectant product, but I guess with aloe juice as the #1 ingredient, it is. Humectants don't bother me so much in the summer, though I have to be careful of them in the winter.

I've really been liking UFDCM!

Yesterday, I used UFDCM and topped it off with BRHG because I'm out in the elements and I need hold! This morning I refreshed by smoothing a tiny amount of UFDCM (emulsified with a couple of drops of water) gently over my strands to tame bed head frizz.

My package of okra still sits in the freezer though. I need to make some gel and get used to using it because I'm running low on Uncle Funky's.

Looking good Sheila!

Although... I need something for very high dews... like mid-high 70s to 80s. There's a difference for me in terms of 60s and 80s dews.
