Later today I shampooed and used SM Smoothie with a little bit of SM souffle.

It just doesn't seem to matter. I end up with fuzz after a few hours.

SoCal has moderate dews, but salty beach air will ruin your hair. I don't really know what you can do against it. I used to live in Redondo Beach. I think you just have to embrace the beach bum look. If you coated your hair in enough things the salt air might not be able to penetrate it.

This is as near to frizz free as my hair has been:

The sides are best:

It's near 5.30 pm here now, so I think this is a pretty good hair day.

I've noticed that I get less frizz using home made FSG than with any other styling product. That makes me kind of proud

I'd like to see other pictures of what you consider a good hair day!

WOW. Speechless! Beautiful! And, yes, my best days are with my homemade okra gel!

Thanks! Do you have any pictures of a good hair day?

Okra gel sounds interesting! Okra is the vegetable right? I is only sold canned here, unless you go to a specialty shop. Can you make the gel with canned okra? Or only with fresh ones? What is your favorite recipe? And is there a big difference with FSG? And... and... I have tons of questions

The main difference between the two is the okra gel is MUCH easier to make- they do the same goodness to your hair (I've made both and prefer okra).

Yes, I have lots of pics floating around this board:

Wow! I love your hair! So much volume and hardly any frizz at all!

Yes, I make the FSG myself. I must try the Okra gel some time. Sounds good!

Why is okra gel easier to make than fsg? Does it keep better? Isn't it much more slimey?

I use Tweek as my final styling product, and find that it helps protect my curl definition very well.

Baby Fine 3B, low porosity, normal density and elasticity
CGing since July 2008
My hair is 3b/3c, fine, normal porosity, and high density. I have volume and my hair frizzes when I touch it when it's wet. I just don't like when my hair gets too frizzy. When that happens, very few of my curls are defined. I prefer minimal frizz. I don't think majority of us can be frizz free, but we can learn to manage the frizz.

Type: 3b/3c
Hair properties: curly, wavy & fine texture; medium thick to thick density; normal porosity; normal elasticity

Current Loves:
Shampoo: Shea Moisture Black African Soap Deep Cleansing, Shea Moisture Moisture Retention, Carol's Daughter Rosemary Mint Clarifying, Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla
Conditioner: Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque
Leave-In: Design Essentials HCO Leave-In Conditioner and Blow Drying Lotion
I never do lol...just when I finish and don't touch it at all. I accept frizz and also aim for minimal frizz. It's more realistic especially with the hot and unpredictable weather down here...my hair forecast almost always says frizzy curls lol! I can fight it on a wash and rule day...but once second and third day hair roll around I get frizz...it's just a curly way of life. Curls still look beautiful frizzy or not 😊

Frizz free days mean leaving a lot of conditioner in but not too much at the top. Is frizz free even possible?-imageuploadedbycurltalk1381699447.633552.jpg Is frizz free even possible?-imageuploadedbycurltalk1381699551.281231.jpg
Gel, scrunching with a t-shirt, satin pillow cases, and cold water rinses after showering keep it minimal.
