Default Problem with frizzy flyaway curls

I have completely switched my products over to DevaCurl. I absolutely love my curl pattern but I could do without the frizzy flyaway hair all over my head! I'm completely over it! I can't figure out how to get rid of it. I use NoPoo, OneCondition (as LI), Ultra Defining Gel, and Set-it Free. Whenever you submit a question to Deva about frizz they tell you that you're not moisturizing enough. Last weekend I did a deep treatment with Heaven in Hair and that didn't help.

I was taking a look at the Ouidad products I found in my cupboard last night that I've either got as samples or bought in the past and they are full of cones.

Before switching to Deva, I used NoPoo, KCNT, Joiwhip, and SIF to scrunch the crunch. It was my HG routine for years! Well, that quit working. I also tried Joiwhip with the Deva products and my curls are undefined and frizzy.

Ugh...I'm a frustrated curly!

I don't use Deva, so don't know all of the ingredients. The NoPoo and Ultra Defining Gel have polyquat 7. I have serious issues with 4, 7 and 10. They cause frizz for me--even when wet. Those could be your "fly aways."

I'd clarify and try using products that don't contain polyquats to see if that helps.

Thank you so much, kathymack! I never would have thought of that. I've been off the boards for a while. Maybe it's time for me to get back on here! Have a nice weekend. 😊
