Default No-poo at drugstores?

Are there any no-poo cleansers out there at Walmart, Walgreens, etc, that aren't pricey?

Also, is no-poo generally preferred over low-poo (sulfate-free?)

I know that Walmart sells the Organix line, but I think they're technically low- poo. They're cheaper than the stuff I'm currently using, though......(Hair One)

Most of the organix shampoos aren't CG (have olefin sulfonate and/or silicones).

The best drugstore shampoos I've tried are yes to cucumbers and Shea moisture. They are both between $8-10 but shampoo should last a while, especially if you're switching off with cowashing. Giovanni 50/50 is also well liked.

For cheap cowash conditioners, suave naturals and all the vo5 conditioners.

If you have a Trader Joes nearby, they have awesome conditioners and shampoos. And they're cheap!!!!

I get VO5 Kiwi-Lime Squeeze conditioner at Walmart for 79, or $1.39 for the gargantuan, family sized bottle. It works as well as NoPoo IME, without setting off my allergies.

I thought the loreal evercurl cleansing condish was pretty good, but it has a strong scent. Not bad, but strong.

I'm loving the loreal evercreme cleansing conditioner. Really cleans without stripping at all.

Conditioners: V05, Suave Naturals, Tresemme Naturals, Inecto
Cleansing conditioners: Pantene, L'Oreal Ever- , also check out the 'ethnic hair' section. WEN substitute called Salon Grafix but never heard of anyone who has tried it!

Co-washing should be gentler on the hair than any sulphate free shampoo because of the way the sulphates work, but some have scalp conditions which make shampooing more advisable, others have thin or fine hair that is weighed down easily and never looks good with regular co-washing.

My hair is colour treated and porous, doesn't have an issue with lack of natural body/ volume, so co-washing was a revelation to me. It does limit in terms of other products, I have to avoid ingredients like cetyl esters (a wax) and the 'permitted' silicones that resist building up because they make my hair limp.

CO-wash: Inecto coconut
Treatments: Komaza Matani, coconut oil, Hairveda Sitrinillah
Leave in: Fructis Sleek & Shine (old), Gliss ultimate volume, Inecto argan
Styler: Umberto Giannini jelly, Boots Essentials gel
Experimenting with: going back to basics
