Hi everyone!

I've been looking into Jessicurl more and more over the past few weeks and I am unsure about the Too Shea! conditioner. My hair is 3a, low porosity, and pretty dense. It's been drier than usual and my GVP conditioning balm just isn't cutting it lately. The moisturizing benefits of this product sound wonderful, but I'm afraid of buildup. Because of my low porosity, I get build up more easily than most and I've heard shea butter isn't good for LP; but I've used shea moisture raw shea butter restorative conditioner without much of a problem. I'm kind of in a dilemma and could use your input. Thanks!

I am unsure how it will affect you and I have never tried it. But my experience with the daily Aloeba conditioner was that it left me overconditioned. My hair is HP and fine. They recommend Aloeba for fine hair and Too Shea for thicker hair on their site. The nice thing about them is they offer samples on their site for a few dollars! I hope that helps a little bit, sorry I could not help more.

Low-poo: Yes to Cucumbers, Renpure Coconut Cream
Condish: GVP CB, V05 Vanilla Mint Tea
Leave in: Giovanni Direct Leave In
PT: Hair not responding well to protein anymore
Styler: Sweet Curls Crazy Crunchy FSG, Naturelle gel cocktailed with Paul Mitchell Tea Tree gel

Go Red Wings!

I bought the entire Jessicurl line as my second line after Deva. It made my hair limp and lifeless in a week.

Oh no that's not encouraging. But thanks so much for the input!

I've been wondering about this product too for my low porosity 3B transitioning hair.

Thanks for the advice Kathy! Think I'll give this one a miss and stick to my tried-and-true Shea Moisture conditioner

I've never been wild about Jessicurl products either but a lot of people love them. Fine porosity hair on one person doesn't necessarily like the same products as another - (you like SM; Kathymack doesn't) A couple of product lines that might work for you are Curly Kinks and Curl Junkie.
Mustangbunny's suggestion is really good - you could check out Jessicurl's website and order samples Products | Home - jessicurl | Curly Hair Products. Good luck!

My fine lp hair is rather protein sensitive and the Too Shea worked on my hair a bit like a PT would work for some. It made my hair moisturized and defined. I loved it the most when I let it sit for 3-5 min before rinsing it out. It provides great slip as well.

I'm low porosity and I avoid shea butter in general, so this wouldn't be a product I would try.
I've used the SM Restorative Conditioner also and it was fine for my thick lp hair. I haven't tried the too shea but I have tried the deep treatment which has shea butter and it didn't do much for my hair. Same thing with CJ Rehab which has shea butter. Everyone raves about it but it was nothing special for my hair.
I'm normal-low porosity and I love Jessicurl conditioners! Aloeba and TS are both great but I actually find Aloeba more moisturizing, and TS more smoothing.
