Every time I go to my hairdresser and ask for "long layers" she give layers where the distance between the shortest layer and the longest (stretched curls) is about 3 inches. I always think... maybe is too little?
I think she cut with a straight cut in mind... (she cut wet hair)
I wanted to know how much is the distance between your shortest layer and the longest, when you stretch out your curls? (not counting the face framing layers of course, just around the head)
Maybe next time I can give her a more accurate direction on how to cut my layers!
The distance between my shortest and longest layers is around 8 inches stretched and 6 inches curly with my hair almost at the middle of my back when stretched. I prefer the shape it gives me, and I never have to worry about triangle shaped hair.
