Please forgive me if this has been addressed somewhere and I've not seen it. I'm a 3a/3b curly and I'm getting so fed up with my frizz! I've been away from silicones for two years now, but I'm feeling more and more tempted to find a conditioner with a mild silicone. (I've tried conditioners containing oils but they just give me an oily scalp, yuck.)
I currently use "Nature's Gate Herbal Daily Shampoo", but I am not sure if it has the proper ingredients to remove silicones from my hair.
These are the shampoo ingredients:
Water, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine (Coconut Derived), Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (Coconut Derived), Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate (Coconut Derived), Lauryl Glucoside (Vegetable Derived), Glycerin (Vegetable Derived), Panthenol, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Borago Officinalis (Borage) Seed Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Achillea Millefolium (Yarrow) Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Leaf Extract, Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Extract, Prunus Serotina (Wild Cherry) Bark Extract, Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Leaf Extract, Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C), Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride (Plant Derived), Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Polysorbate 20 (Vegetable Derived), Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (Plant Derived), Sodium Hydroxide, Glyceryl Undecylenate (Vegetable Derived), Phenoxyethanol, Citric Acid (Vegetable Derived), Fragrance*.
Does anyone know if any of the cleansing agents in this will effectively remove amodimethicone and dimethicone (in case I should get really desperate)?
While I'm here I may as well ask - does anyone also know if the cleansing agents in this shampoo can remove product (mousse and/or a detangler/shine spray)?
Thanks so much in advance to anyone who has any info!
