Default Hairspray suggestions please

Hey everyone! I was curious about some hairspray suggestions to use to make my curls hold/last longer. My curls stay "defined" all day but they sort of lay down and aren't quite as perky, bouncy, and lose some volume. I don't want anything too heavy, sticky, or hard. I know a lot of curlies don't use any, but I know some do so I was hoping for some suggestions. Thanks!

My favourite "hairspray" is the Curly Hair Solutions product Tweek, which is advertised as a hairspray in cream form. I distribute it to an extremely thin layer on both hands, smooth them over the upper surface of my hair, flip my hair over and smooth it over the lower layer, then rub my hands together again, thread my fingers in to my scalp, and scrub my roots with my fingertips, then scrunch. I give it a few seconds, then support my hair with my hands, and go back upright.

I also have the DevaCurl hairspray, which is pretty good, but is so darned soft that it doesn't give my superfine hair any root lift.

Thanks for replying! I haven't tried any products by Curl Solutions, but I heard they are pretty good. I'll look into both of your suggestions :-) Speaking of Curl Solutions, do you use Curl Keeper? Sometimes I want to try it, but I've seen so many mixed reviews.

Have you tried a spray gel? I use an HE one-can't remember if it's Set Me Up or Totally Twisted...I don't use a lot-just a little around the crown. Works for me!

I love Curl Keeper! It is one of my HG products.

My usual styling routine starts with a curl activating cream, which I apply to the less curly areas, followed by Curl Keeper. In summer, that may be all that I use, but in lower dew points, I apply my gel(s) du jour over that.

For me, the key to using Curl Keeper year round was doing the sprinkle/baptismal rinse, which seems to leave my hair optimally conditioned. Up until that time, I thought it was a summer product.

Thanks for the replies y'all! My experience with spray gels is they same to always be sticky on my hair. Maybe I just haven't used a good one - it's been years.

So Curl Keeper has hold to it? This product has peeked my curiosity soooo much bc I see so many mixed reviews on it & I can't tell exactly what it's used for. Some have said it's just a style primer and some said it's a curl definer/holding styler. I'm lost on it lol.

I see comments from people that they consider Curl Keeper a gel. I don't. I also don't find my hair to be crunchy after using it, which some people do. I don't have their hair. They don't have mine.

I love aussie sprunch hairspray. I don't use much of it, but just enough and it really holds my waves and gives my hair some nice volume. The other day I used a different kind and was so disappointed! I didn't realize how much I loved my aussie sprunch!

Interesting! I love Aussie's 3 minute miracle deep conditioning treatment. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it. I did try one Aussie hairspray that was super sticky but I can't remember which one & it was a few years ago. I'm guessing the sprunch doesn't make your hair sticky?

It will if you use too much. I make sure to only use a little!
