I am having such a hard time getting my curls to come out and play since I got my hair cut. and the top of my hair is flat and no matter what, it does NOT want to lift. at all.

any ideas?
Have you tried clipping it while it's drying? Do you turn your head upside down and fluff at your roots? These are the best techniques that I know of.

I think that's preference - some people use jaw clips, some use butterfly clips, some use sectioning clips whatever floats your boat I'd say!

Its annoying to use bobbie pins but sometimes that works in a pinch. Also try applying gel on your fingertips and right at the roots. Then clip. You can also put gel on the clips first. When you remove them this helps give it a boost too. Sixelamy is amazing lol. She's got it down!
Just through a little more tips in.
I also find letting my hair dry on the opposite side and then flipping it to the other side gives me a little boost also. Not all your hair lol but like the layers on top or your "bangs".

Sometimes I get carried away and manipulate him too much. He tells me he's fine on his own but I never listen. I wash him less now and all in all we're happy.
