GF Curl & Shine Leave In

You're welcome to those of you who have been meaning to try this

There are plenty of no pooers that do fine with this leave in.
CoN is a Cg friendly shampoo. It doesn't have any sulfates in it. I think it's coco... betaine that is the cleanser but I know it's CG at any rate.

I just ran C&S over my hair to calm the frizz (it's 11% humidity ack!) and boy my hair feels good.

dominicanaheat- I think we might be hair twins!!! You're the first I've seen here close to mine!! When I opened your album, I did a double take. Mine is pretty thick & yours seems a lot thicker than mine wow- beautiful!!!

Activate shampoo is definately CG. But I honestly only use it like once a month.
i have continued my experiments with GF c&S leavein. i really like it. I find tho that overnight plopping gives me the best curls. i could have had 3rd day hair with this method. 3/3/07 I plopped overnight --there are pics from both at night and in morning. last night i cowashed and used the GF CS and it air dried --went to a dinner party with it wet and it did not dry completely in the plopping turban, so the curls were a bit looser. I pineappled overnight and it came out ok this morning, but not fabulous like it did on 3/3. pics of both days are on my fotki. I am coming to the conclusion that there is a group of products that work equally well for me. when I dry my hair at home in the plopping turbans, I usually go through 2-3 turbans. sometimes i go to sleep with my hair dripping wet in the second turban, wake with damp and air dry. hair is best tho when i go to bed with it middling damp and wakeup with it slightly damp and then the curls are great. unfortunately my best hair is usually at night before bed or in the morning, rarely in the evening when i go out since i insist on hiking till the last minute and then swimming , jumping in the shower and running out the door with the plopping turbans and drying in the car!!
oh well

Hi All

I have been trying to get hold of this GF curl and shine for a very long time but they don't seem to sell it here in the UK.

Anyone any ideas?
banjo, your hair really looks phenomenal in those fructis pictures!! You haven't experienced any build-up problems from the Soft Curl Cream? I tried it once and really liked my results, but hadn't realized it had dimethicone in it. I stopped using it after that, but if you haven't had any problems removing it with Suave, then I might be willing to give it another try.

Wow Banjo that overnight plop with the GF sure is great in your hair! I am going to have to try that!

If it smells good put it in your hair, if it tastes good spit it out!
so this is the leave in. not the regular curl and shine conditioner that you are just using as a leave in?
i just want to be sure i buy the right one!

fabulous!!
i'm going to pick some of that up this week. i need to get some new makeup so i might as well add this to my list.
banjo, your hair looks AWESOME and i can't believe how FREAKIN LONG it is!!! how long is it wet?! it's grown SO Much from when we first started posting on here!

does this stuff help with frizz and shine?
i have a bunch of new growth and i had a bad experience with a hair stylisting using thinning shears on my head....so the little hairs stick out all over...i'd love some cones to help hide those! i'm hoping this is the answer!

Banjo's hair is GORGEOUS! I love the length and color and the GF is working wonders for her!

Curious to know, have any of you GF C&S ladies ever tried this without any other product on top? Just the leave in as the only product?

OMG Pixie you are so cute! You look like a porcelain doll with those beautiful red curls.

grrrr....crrl envy is setting in.....again!

If activate poo will get this stuff out, I'm buying some.

Haha you're too sweet MaybeWavy, thanks for the compliment.

Activate will get it out, but I don't find it builds up on me anyway. I use Jessicurl HCC or Curls Cleansing Cream once or twice a month and I'm fine. I'd probably be fine with just co-washing too.

all of you--thanks so much for the hair compliments! all the pics of the C&S are with it ALONE after cowashing--no other products on the hair. i have the sense that all the GF curl prods work pretty much the same on me. i have no buildup at all so far. before CG i thought my hair would not grow, that i was too old to have long hair bc it was not growing. the truth is that my hairstylist cut off an inch or 2 every 3-4 months going "oh look at these dead ends" or something equally inspiring. Now that Carlos has me on the once a year haircut plan my hair can actually grow, CG keeps it healthy and he cuts off very little each time. it's been growing since nov 2004, you can see the deva pics from 2005 and 2006. at this point it is waist length when wet in the shower. i can reach behind me and pull it, something i could not do since i was an old hippie many years ago!
Last night i used the GF dry and damaged fortifying CO as a leavein and my hair air dried nicely, then I went out today int he cold with the balaclava and took pics before and after-there is also a pic of me with the balaclava on (yuck) . pretty amazing that though my hair looked better last night, it did not look as horrible today as i thought it would after the balaclava squished out all the curls. this GF stuff has good hold used alone even. they all seem to work about the same. after i swim, i am going to try the curl and shine CO (not leavein) but use it as a leavin and see what happens. so far the GF stuff works mostly the same, differences are the conditions under which it dries. thanks again--you guys make me feel very encouraged about my hair now!! banjo[/quote]

Okay, Pixiecurl, Banjo, my hair is in between both your lengths...how much do you ladies use to achieve that great hold without any other product?

picked mine up tonight!
DH saw my bottle and said to Owen
"oh, littleman...looks like mommy has some new hair products....bet i know what SHE is going to do tonight after you go to bed!"

i'm going to wash tonight and try it as my leave in when i rewet tomorrow morning. going to try it plain tonight. looks like on the bottle it doesn't suggest using gel, so we'll give that a whirl. banjo and pixie's pictures are encouraging as well!
