Why is my hair FLAT??

I forgot to mention the AG Mousse Gel. I like it a lot, and it gives me plenty of volume. I bought mine at Ulta. I also just remembered Boots Curl Creme. It worked very well for me last winter, and I forgot I had it until just now. I'll have to try it next week to see if it works as well this winter.
2C/3A, fine, higher porosity.
I bought it at Ulta. It was about 18 or 20 dollars if I remember correctly,but I probably got it during some sort of promotional sale and paid less. Amazon has it for 25 US dollars, which is a lot more than I paid for it locally.
2b/2c ( weather permitting - 3a), fine texture but lots of it, colored and highlights, BSL.
Experimenting w CG since Oct 2012

Current rotation:
cowash= TN
AG Gel Mousse, LA Gel,
DT = Coconut oil (love)

Do you both use it with something or by itself? if you use it with something, what is it and do you use the mousse over or under it?
I've used it by itself and paired with BRHG or a Giovanni gel. I prefer using it without anything else because I get more volume that way. When I pair products, the gel is always on top.

Yes, that is what I have always done too, mousse first; that is, until Deva foam. I dont know why that mousse goes over everything else...the last couple of days I have had great hair with CK. I have been combing it through my hair instead of scrunching it in; for some reason, that seems to make a difference.
If I use gel, I always add to to soaking wet hair. I apply mousse to drier hair, so I do it in reverse order from y'all. I scrunch in a small bit of gel to soaking wet hair. Sort of the way some people use CKCC as a clumper, but it probably gives a bit more hold. Then I blot with a microfiber towel and plop for a little while. Then I scrunch in about three palmfuls of mousse (my hair is BSL) and diffuse. I did exactly this today and my hair formed coils and spirals pretty well. It is a little flat at the scalp but after I pineapple tonight there will be plenty of volume at the roots for the next few days so I'm ok with it. It was cold here today but rainy so the humidity was over 50-60%.

And Ulta had a buy one/get one free on AG products today. I bought a couple more of the gel mousse just to keep it on hand. I used the LA sports gel all summer and fall because its so cheap and the humidity was high enough to keep my hair from flattening out. In low dews gel is too much for me.

Weathercurl: what is CKCC and BSL?
I use Alaffia Neem & Shea shampoo and I either use the matching conditioner or I use Davines LOVE conditioner (not CG but my hair loves this stuff in the winter). My favorite winter stylers at the moment are Queen Helene Royal Curl (my hair loves glycerin in the low dews) or Spiralicious. I used CJ Curl Queen the other day and that turned out well, too.

fine - low/normal porosity - medium density - normal elasticity.

Currently using:
Cowash: Cure Care diluted with water 1:1
RO: Cure Care, V05 Kiwi Lime
Styler: UFD CM (old formula), FSG + CNPF
PT: IAgirl's gelatine

Experimenting with: no guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride, gelatin gel

Recent findings: my hair likes Cure Care diluted with water as a cowash; does NOT like guar h.c.!
