Default Shea moisture thickening growth milk?

Hey curlies!!
Sorry if there has been a post on this product before but I can't seem to find it.
I'm still fairly new here and just wanted to ask about this product.

My question is, for you girls that have tried it, does it really help grow and thicken your hair?

I'm really looking into trying it and might get it as soon as tomorrow! I really want my hair to grow past the shoulder slump and am even doing protective hairstyles for bed.

I like to wear my hair loose during the day but when it gets longer I know I can do more styles to it.

For reference my hair is (I believe) 3b/3c

Thanks in advance!!

I bought some when I first started CG, before I knew my properties better. Now I understand why it does nothing for me. It's too heavy for my fine hair. I think sixelamy uses it though, and she likes SM products. It does smell nice though.

Sorry it didn't work for you. I am currently using the CH style milk and it works great for my hair so I'm thinking the growth milk might too.

I know, I wish I could use SM products because everyone raves about them. If you've had good experiences with other SM products it's probably worth a shot. From what I understand it is a thinner consistency than other SM products. I guess that's why it's a "milk". Good luck

I sent you a message Rumwolf. But from what I've read about it, it lengthens your curl? I've never used it, but that's what I've read and why I've never tried it. I'm a huge fan of the Coconut & Hibiscus line, as well as the Baby line. Ever since I've been using SM products, my hair has been growing like crazy. It normally grows fast, but this is pretty insane. Although, it could've lengthened my curl a bit with having shea butter in it.

I started using it about four weeks ago, and I did find it gave my fine hair some more volume and defined curls. I do think my hair has grown since then, although still hard to tell. Growth aside, I like how it feels and how it helps my hair look fuller and softer.

I love shea moisture and I can agree with sixelamy about the coconut+hibiscus. Its some amazing stuff!!
I have the thickening growth milk as well and I can describe it feeling kind of lotiony if that makes sense. It feels like I'm putting lotion in my hair. Now I loved it in my longer hair days when I love doing updos etc. Because it gives my hair that big carefree look and leaves it feeling not too producty for days on end. Thisnis great but with my shorter hair it doesn't give me springy curls etc. And i sometimes like a little lift/suplort since my hair is short at the moment. The yucca line also has a very distinct smell for reference. Do try and take a whiff if you can. I don't hate the smell but I love the other lines a bit more in terms of smell.
Also I feel shea moisture, the products I generally use (from other brands too) do help my hair grow etc. But I think you should apply it to the roots if anything? Think about it... how can a styling product make your hair grow unless its making direct contact with the follicle? Idk it just doesn't seem right to me.
