Aloe Vera Gel or Aloe Vera Juice or BOTH??

Ive heard about the great benefits of aloe Vera (especially for itchy scalps) but I want to make sure I know how to use it properly before I rush out to but it.

1) can I use the juice directly on my scalp and leave it in or must it be rinsed out? (Can the same be done with gel?)

2) is there any real difference between the gel and juice?

3) if using the juice do I have to keep it in the fridge even if I have mixed it with something

4) which is better overall?

Thank you ladies xxx
Juice may well be pure if it is for internal use and should be on the acidic side, gel will have added ingredients to make it into a stable gel and may be any pH (skin likes ~5.5). There are high quality gels and lower quality ones with all sorts of fillers and colours.

Go for standardised inner leaf aloe vera not whole leaf, the extract should be hypoallergenic which is important if you have an irritated scalp.

Never make mixes and store them, unless you intend to sterilise all your equipment, use a proper preservative and pH check your mix. Make your unpreserved mixtures up fresh, store your raw ingredients in their original packaging as per manufacturers instructions. Basic formulation hygiene.
