Small change seems to make a huge difference.

The small change: I have been raking in my product and COMBING it through my hair; then scrunching. I dont know why this has made such a big difference, but it seems to have. Anyone else notice this? Or maybe, if you arent doing this, and have had a lot of frustration with your hair, try it>
Interesting tip! Do you find this helps unclump your curls and create volume? I share your desire of those things.

I have been using a brush (similar to the paddle style denman) to brush my hair after raking in my LI and SMCES. I think it really does help distribute my products evenly and it does clump nicely after I go back and scrunch. I do not get any volume though. I am trying to somehow combine the volume I get from the icequeen method with the nice (not tangly) clumps I get with the super soaker method. Haven't figured it out yet, but I am going to keep experimenting.
Fine/Med texture, normal porosity and elasticity (I think)
2a(maybe 2b on a good day?)
Current routine:
Shampoo: Tresemme Smooth & Silky
Conditioner: Tresemme Smooth & Silky
Leave-In: Kinky Curly Knot Today
Gel: Herbal Essence Set Me Up
Mousse: Herbal Essence Totally Twisted
Ive had great volume since I posted "Why is my hair FLAT?". I do diffuse before I clip it up, and that seems to help; I dont diffuse much, just enough to take some of the water out.

This AM for the first time I used CJ Daily Fix. I am very impressed. I used Yes to Tomatoes conditioner, and As I am Curly Jelly, and my hair is super. I Love it!
I've always combed the products through my hair, because it is what worked for me. I tried just finger combing my hair and it wasn't as good (didn't look that great and was frizzier on top for some reason). I'm glad you found something that works for you too!

3B, fine, normal porosity, high density, medium width and length
Conditioner: Tresemme Naturals
Co-Wash: As I Am Coconut Co-Wash
Leave in Products: As I Am Leave-In, SM Smoothie/Milk
Air Dry

Looking for new products and methods to try!

Nope, I used to rake and scrunch, but I really think combing through makes a diff. Also, I happen to really like the As I Am product.
