Parts

When i was younger my part used to be down the center but over the years my part is off to the right side now, so my hair always falls to the left side, even after I plop overnight. It's a pain in the butt because it falls right into my left eye and looks very flat.

I want it all to dry so that my hair looks like the hair on the girl in the CHS ad to the left, the blonde that is looking over her shoulder. See how she kinda has no part? The center part of her hair is pushed back and the sides fall naturally?

Does anyone have a trick to manipulate their parts?

My hair likes to part down the middle for the Mona Lisa look. I use the silver 'gator clips to hold it back while it's drying. If I pay close attention to how I place them, it works. If I just throw clips in, I look like I parted my hair with a rake.

The days it works-- I take a few curls from either side & cross them over to the opposite side (like in CG- making hills & valleys to hide the part) & clip them that way-- usually 2 clips in three spots in an 'x'. Then I make sure that the ends of the clipped curls are aimed to the back rather than the sides. That usually requires a few extra clips to hold them back.
Hope my gibberish makes sense...

Do you have any pictures of the gator clips? I'm trying to think how I can do that trick and plop at the same time...hmm....

Does your hair fall into a straight part? Unless I comb my part, it comes out kind of wild and random. I just arrange pieces of hair so that it's more or less the way I want it. I like that it's kind of random , because it makes the part less obvious.

It's hard to explain....like every inch down the part, it zigzags just a little bit, and each inch is it's own curl, so it's difficult to try to make the part a straight one without breaking up curl definition. I try to move the curls around so that the part isn't that noticeable, but the way the curls form, it just makes the top of my hair look weird. And it's even weirder since I plop and I drop my hair straight down onto the t-shirt. I think I need to pay more attention to how the hair in the part area lands when I plop,
