Default What are some of your hair goals this year?

Share with us...

My hair goal for 2014 is to stay away from heat. I did a bit of straightening last year so I'm going to do it for growth purposes.

To use heat only twice this year--cause I like variety sometimes, you know? And to be gentle with my hair, especially when detangling. Last year before I went CG I would just rip through those tangles with a brush..yikes.

What a cool thread!

My biggest goal this year is to stop doing weekly length checks lol. I literally stretch a few curls to see how long they are every time I wash my hair (twice a week). The sad part is that I do this half expecting to see a change (I really do know better... I promise ).

Other than that, my goal is to enjoy my hair. I have finally gotten the hang of caring for these curls (it only took _ YEARS). Barring some unforeseen event I should be hovering above my end goal of HL by the end of this year . I really want to just enjoy the ride .

Yeah I say don't check it. I normally don't check it until it's straightened. But i can look back at old pictures and really see . My hairs really in good condition but I get really scissor happy so for this year I'm ALL about length. I've been natural 2 years and can't put my hair in a curly nice ponytail

My hair goal is to reach shoulder length. I also want to book into Cherry Bomb in Melbourne to get a decent hairstyle; it's been growing out from shaved for the past 1.5 years and I've been afraid of losing precious length. No more putting it off.

Reach mid back length
Grow out the awkward random pieces I cut cuz I thot it was color damage but nope it was a lazy wavy pattern.

1. De-stash

2. Find a simple routine that works fairly consistently (even if that means not using stylers and if that means my hair isn't perfect... or great).

3. Re-incorporate silicones into my routine. See if I've been missing out.

4. Accept my neither-here-nor-there wavy-curly mixed curl pattern. Even love it?

5. Relax more about my hair.

6. Enjoy my hair. One day I may not have it. The silvers are coming in, so at least the color will be changing within the next few years. Just enjoy what I have.

Default 2014 Hair Goals

My hair goals this year are:
  1. Wear more protective styles. Mostly an attempt to keep the fairy knots and split ends to a minimum.
  2. Keep my "hand in hair" syndrome to a minimum. No curl inspections or impromptu search and destroys for SSKs.
  3. Grow my hair to be at least collar bone length curly/bra strap length straight.
  4. Be gentler when finger detangling.
  5. Incorporate regular scalp massages into my routine.
  6. Use more oils. This is more for my hair and body.
  7. Try some DIY hair products like making my own butter and FSG
  8. Do not stress out over SSKs
  9. Buy satin bed set.

Seems like a lot, but those seem doable. It's not like I added a no buy. I couldn't possibly do that when Shea Moisture just released a new line and I still want to try SO many products.

My goals:
  • Go for trims/shaping every 8-10 weeks. 12 weeks is too long for my hair.
  • Apply coconut oil at night every night, or at least 4-5 nights per week.
  • Keep doing weekly DT.

My hair goals for this year:

1. Stop using so much product (I have a heavy hand when it comes to products).
2. Go back to the stylist I found and stop going to those stylists that don't know how to cut my curly hair.
3. Continue trying new routines until I find the one that "wows" me.
4. Keep loving my hair and stop having so much hair envy. =)

My major goal is continue to try my hardest to make my hair the healthiest it can be but to also grow it at the same time. I'd like to reach MBL but if I reach it and want more length, I'll try for WL. It is also mandatory that I get at least one trim this year.

Also, continue to not heat style or use gels/styling agents.

My ONLY hair goal is to just stick to te products that my hair already loves and stop wasting money based off what ppl are using on youtube. Everyones hair is uniquely diff from the next person's and i learned that theough trial and error and too many products bought and never liked :/. Routine and regimen, yes i would love good advice on that but products im good on.

My biggest hair goal is to grow my hair out. I really want to achieve maximum growth this year, especially since my hair was so damaged before this year that I was never able to grow it out!

Definitely growing it out! Also learn how to care for it better so I get good hair days more consistently... XD

Also learn different hairstyles I can do that won't ruin the curls, like updos and so on. (: it would be fun.

My goal is to let my hair do it's thing throughout the winter and not chop it off as I usually do when it's kind of drab and flat. In a few months it will be humid again and my hair and I will both be happy and I'll be especially happy that I didn't cut it.
