Default Should I get a Deva Cut?

I'm trying to figure out if the Deva cut is for me. I would like my hair to have more shape when it's worn curly. My concern is though will it still look good straight? I like to switch it up sometimes. I wear it curly most months but in the winter I like to wear it straight because I don't like going out with wet hair in the cold. Has anyone been able to go back and forth that have gotten a Deva cut without it looking crazy? Please help, advice is appreciated!

I just received my first deva cut a few days ago but what I have read I don't think you would want to wear it straight after a deva cut. For me, I almost never straighten my hair (except to have it cut/trimmed) with that said, I use a diffuser so that my hair is not wet when I leave the house.

I was worried that my curls were to tight for it but I honestly love it. I'm really liking the products as well.

I agree with SortaRican. I don't ever wear my hair straight, but recently had a curly cut (I call it that because I'm not sure it was a true Deva Cut). I really love my curls even more now and wouldn't think about straightening it. If I did, I don't think it would look bad, I would just have a lot of layers. I apologize I'm not more helpful. Best of luck!

I did lots and lots of research before getting my deva cut. Tried multiple products before going to the professionals . Looked at before and after pictures for days (specifically those with curl patterns similar to mine). Looked here for different threads regarding the cut. I researched the salon and the stylist I went to (even stalked her a little bit on FB and IG lol). I wouldn't recommend doing it unless you are fully comfortable with it.

Where can I find before and after pics? The salon I'm thinking if going to was recommended by a friend. Get hair usually looks great. The salon has pretty good reviews and some bad ones of course. Uggghhhh this is such a hard decision lol. I really like to wear my hair straight sometime to switch things up and I would hate not to be able to wear it that way after a deva cut. Does it really come out very uneven?

Well you could probably specify that. I imagine they Cloud work around it. They could work around it better than a stylist that doesn't get curly hair.

I just googled devacut and looked at images. I also looked up hashtags on IG (there were lots). I found my salon through the salon finder on this site. If you find a salon they might have pics on their website or FB page.

I did extensive research and a little Facebook stalking as well. Lol. And I found before and after pictures on the salon's website. I also read reviews on here using the salon finder.

I would recommend going in for a consultation and asking them if it would be possible to cut your hair in a way that you could wear it straight when you felt like it. They should be able to give some advice that will help you make your decision. =)

I used to straighten my hair sometimes. Once I got a devacut, never again! My hair looks so much better! I've read that devacuta don't do well blown out.
