I hope the bug can be detected and fixed.

As a graphic designer and web designer (along with being a naturalista), these are my suggestions. Maybe you could implement one or all of the following:
  1. Parallax scrolling:
Parallax scrolling brings websites to life while adding depth to images and text. Examples of this technique include changing graphics or animations so that they start to play as you scroll past them on a page.
  2. Larger Font sizes:
Larger text is attention-grabbing, readable and easier on the eyes.
  3. Continous Scrolling:
Instead of multiple page assets and redundant loading, websites are going for a single-page look that differentiates content by changing background color and typography as the user scrolls down. Users wanting more information without scrolling can simply click on links that move the page down to the desired section. The net result is a more coherent experience, that is aesthetically pleasing, and easy to use for even casual browsers.
  4. Bigger & better imagery:
Massive pictures and background images - seem to be increasingly popular in the web design world , and they certainly look nice on retina displays.
  5. UI Design:
By reducing the amount of visual clutter, websites become more usable, providing a better experience for site viewers

How about a section for "drug store" favorites? I'd love to use the expensive stuff but can't always afford it.
Oh that's a really good idea!!!

Do you think there will ever be a spot next to our usernames for us to include our hair properties when reviewing products? I really think that would be so much more helpful than seeing what hair type a person has, which literally tells us nothing.

SoAndSo (1,2,3,4 a,b,c, texture, porosity & density)

Hmm, that person has the same hair properties as me, that product might work well for me too! Or, no wonder that product didn't work for that person, look at their hair properties.

Maybe even a space for what the dew point was when they tried it out?

If the frizz finder gets fixed I would love to be able to save my hair type and location and change it only when I decide (vacation, visiting or business trips for example).

Hi, first, thanks for trying to make the site more "user-friendly"!

I was a member during the first years and would've liked to keep my old nickname but I found that I could not even fit it in the box as it was a bit long and apparently there's a limit to nickname length now; so I had to use another but there was a glitch and it was already in use so I had to ask to have that account closed so I could open another with the same e-mail address, so that was not cool... Now, even though I've put in my signature that I was a member before, a lot of people think I'm a total "newbie" and I really don't like to be repeating myself all the time...

Also, years ago the forum profiles had a space to enter one's location which was very useful and I believe that needs to be back. The country at least should not be optional because these days many people post from different parts of the world and they don't seem to realize that this site is originated in the U.S.A., so they come and ask for help without being specific about certain details that do make a difference, and we start to give suggestions, especially for products, that 1) may not be at all adequate for their climate and 2) not at all available where they live.

For U.S. residents the state should be non-optional, something as broad as that should not threaten any person's identity I believe but would be immensely helpful for those of us who really want to help to understand the problems they're going through with their hair.

I appreciate this site and all the work that goes into it. That being said, I find the new format very difficult to read. Somehow the colors/layout of the old one made things much easier to click on and read, on my computer.

This website has done more for me than any other information website I've ever read, including the one where I learned my "correct" bra size (which was a pretty big deal)

Seriously, I would not be the same person had I not been lucky enough to find Naturallycurly!!!!

This is such a GREAT idea!! I buy products based on reviews, so I look for information about the reviewer's texture (thickness), porosity, and "type" (as in "dry", "oily", etc.). In my case, I noticed that curl "type" as in "shape" isn't as accurate of an indicator of product performance as "porosity".

But maybe that's because I live in a desert. (It is currently 111 degrees at 6:00pm...and the dew point is 77 degrees!

I think climate is hugely important, and I cannot stress enough how much the good old Frizz Forecast helps me emotionally accept the state of my hair on any given day! (It's NOT me, it's the weather!)

I gave up on "shape" or "definition" today...but I still like my hair!

Well, I never saw that thread with the preview, and I must say quite frankly that I hate this ghoslty white background, I'm sorry! I also cannot understand why anyone would feel like they've been taken "somewhere else", it's the forums so it's a different part of the site. Perhaps it's the rest of the site that needs to be redone to be a bit more colorful, this is like stepping into a hospital of the past. In order to be totally honest, I can't say I like anything about it at all. Besides, what's up with the font colors showing at the bottom when clicking on the "A"??? That's what made me think the site had technical problems.

PLEASE PLEASE, bring the previous format back! Why fix something that wasn't broken to begin with?!
