Default ?'s on conditioners

Hey,

I'm hoping to try some new drug store conditioners.....

The Aussie 3 minute miracle - I know to get the original, but there are 2 different kinds that both say original - which one the purple bottle, or the white one?

Also, I was hoping to try some of the new Loreal conditioners - what are the differences between the light pink and the hot pink one? I picked up the Nutrigloss one that is for long hair thats wavy/curly (light pink), but I thought there was a thread that mentioned the hot pink one as well.

What's the difference?

Thanks!

The Aussie you don't want is the DEEEEP treatment. And the Nutrigloss for curlies I think is CG but I haven't looked myself, this is secondhand info...

I actually just got the aussie 3mm an hour ago! I checked the ingredients and got the original - it was in a purple bottle, I didn't see a white one. It's the CG one.

I actually didn't even go to the store for it, but hey, I was gonna leave with a hair product!

Yeah, echokitten, the nutrigloss is CG...I dunno about the colors of that one, though.

I'll let you know how the 3mm goes!

Yes, I know to not get the Deeeep one, but there were two different Aussie 3 minute miracle that BOTH said original, one in a purple bottle, and one in a white bottle. The ingredients were slightly different between the two.

Are both CG friendly or does it matter between them?

I only got the purple bottle, didn't even see the white. Could you maybe post the different ingreds on the white bottle? Then I can help with something beyond reviewing the purple bottle 3mm. (Which, BTW, is CG and the one I bought.)

Well, I bought the purple one & then noticed when I was at Target later that they had two different kinds of the "original" 3 minute miracle. The Purple bottle says Sydney Smooth Treatment & I can't remember what the White one said.

I think these are the ingredients from the White bottle - I coped it from the Curl Products. I think it's right, because it's different from the purple bottle I bought earlier.

Key Ingredients: Deionized Water, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG 12, Distearate, Cetrimonium Chloride, Extract Of Fennel, Hops, Balm Mint, Matricaria, Yarrow, Aloe Barbadensis Gel, Hydrolyzed Milk Protein, Oat Flour, Yeast Extract, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Sorbitol, Glycerin, Glycol Stearate, Stearyl Alcohol, Stearalkonium Chloride, Dicetyldimonium Chloride, Acetamide MEA, Cetrimonium Bromide, Sodium Lauriminodipropionate, Fragrance, Methylparaben, Tetrasodium EDTA, Lecithin, Safflower Oil, Jojoba Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, DMDM Hydantoin, Phosphoric Acid, Propylparaben, Hydantoin, Simethicone, Propylene Glycol, FD&C Yellow 6

Yup - If you look at the picture under Curl Products, it's the white one that they show........

Looks fine to me - and that's interesting, I guess it's 'cuz they're adding that curl line? Anyway, I hope it doesn't work amazingly better than the other, seeing as that's what we've bought!

Yes, I wish I would have bought the white one, but the original store that I was at only had the purple one.........

I don't have the ingredients listed for the one that we bought (well, unless I type it all in), but it's for "Smooth hair", so who knows!

Aussie is updating their line and they probably have just changed the color of the packaging on that product.

Yeah, they've overhauled their line again and changed the bottles. I'm not sure if they changed the 3mm ingredients this time but I'd have a look and compare because they did change a lot of the other formulas when they went to the purple bottles.

Ah, so the purple is the new one? If that's true, gotcurls? and I can be glad we got it!

I though 3 minute miracle was amazing when I used it last summer, but I tried it recently and it made my hard kind of heavy and nasty feeling.

OK, well comparing the ingredients of 3 minute miracle in the white bottle against the purple bottle, it appears that the "Cone" ingredient in the purple bottle has moved up on the ingredient list......I believe that this would make it less CG friendly than the old "original" in the white bottle, correct?

It's simethicone which is just an anti-foaming agent. It's still CG.

Anyway, I've used it - OMG, on the rinse out, my hair was soooooooo silky smooth I could not stop running my fingers through it. Then it came time to put in my products and since that stage is up in the air, the drying didn't have a fair test. Pantene curl mousse didn't do much. But the condish looks like it's helping already - my hair is real dry right now, so I'll have to wait for super duper results, but the ringlet portions by my temples and, um, side of head (?) are already showing some signs of life. Woo! I think I'm gonna like this, even if it does smell nasty. Like Dimetapp I took as a kid, or some retarded grape soda.

Dimetapp HA!.....I thought I was the only person that thought that Aussie prods smelled like Dimetapp. I really don't mind that though, I usually smell like coffee beans after about the first hour of work anyway so it doesn't matter what I use on my hair.
