Dusting is cutting a veeeeeeeeerrrry tiny bit of hair - like dust - off to get rid of split ends, and if you don't have split ends very far up, it's prolly great. If you already have 'em a bit on up the hair, I've heard good things about the "search and destroy" method. Since I've used neither, I can't help there.
But yes, a sulfate-free poo just once or twice a week should do the trick. I use Trader Joe's Spa Nourish Shampoo, it's nice and sulfate free. If you want something sooooooo moisturizing it's practically conditioner, Creme of Nature is supposed to be great. I tried to find it today, but ethnic sections are shrinking all over, bah! Anyway, those are a couple examples, and Activate Shampoo is also a nice fruity sulfate-free gentle cleanser. HTH!
