Default LOOB question.....

Hi

Being in the UK, I've noticed that lots of brand products have very different ingredients to the ones that are often recommended by US residents on here, and are rendered useless to CGers because of cones etc.

One example is VO5, I've yet to find one here without cones. Anyway, I found some LOOB, but here, its called "fibre putty". I'm wondering if this is the same stuff as the "whipped gel", merely called another name, or whether its an entirely different product. Does anyone have any ideas?

I looked on the L'oreal site, but didn't find the texturized putty, so perhaps its the UK version. However, the ingredients differed slightly in order than the ones listed on here for LOOB whipped gel. Sooooo, I'm left a little confused (ok yes I do live in a perpetual state of confusion in any case this has just exacerbated the thing!)

Any opinions?

Lizzie xx

I have a jar of LOOB that is light blue and is called Whipped Gel. It was the packaging before the white jar. So yes, it probably is the same thing. I can't say whether the ingredients are the same, though.

Hi CurlyNats,

I'll certainly post the verdict, I definately dont get on with Boots curl creme, so I'm hoping this is nothing like. It has a polyquat, in case you're not keen on those. I bought 3 tubs from Ebay this morning, so I hope its good, or it will end up back on there again

Hey Zeldagoblin

I'm leaving work a bit early today and I pass a Superdrug before I get to the train station.... I'm soooo tempted to pop in and get a tub!

To be honest I really don't know if polyquats are bad for me or not. I'm a bit clueless when it comes to the ingredients! I know to avoid the cones and that's about it. I need to swot up on this stuff!!

I use Boots curl creme, but always on the look out for something else

Look forward to hear how it works for you. Good luck!

I'd be happy to trade some LOOB for Boots if anyone wanted.
