I thought this video by waterlily716 would be helpful on how to use up some products that you might not want in your hair.

Alright guys! You are all are great and I appreciate all of you contributing to this thread.

So I used up both my GVP K-Pac & my Suave coconut conditioner. However for the 2 things I lost, 2 came up from the surface. I had to buy a regular sulfate shampoo since all I had for shampoo was my giovanni and I don't find it clarifying enough. I ended up buying the suave clarifying shampoo for $1. So even though I did buy something, it was something I didn't have.

THEN, my sister gave me the rest of her KCKT because she likes her TN much better. I was more than happy to grab it off her hands anyway. So even though I got rid of 2 products, I ended up gaining 2 more. haha.

I bought the Giovani TTTT thinking I could use it to clarify, but you're right.. it's not too clarifying. It's a great shampoo otherwise and feels great. I'm debating on keeping it or returning it..

I was EXTREMELY tempted to buy the burts bees pomegranate cond. thanks to a recent thread. It had protein in it and I have been wanting a conditioner with protein so bad, but I resisted. I walked away. Instead, I used my Knox and used it as a protein filler with my KCKT and Curls Quenched together. After I used my SM elixir, and then my KCCC. Plopping as we speak. Hopefully my 'concoction' did something lol.

I actually have a question for you guys. Can glycerin make your hair dryer especially in low dews?

Yes it can. I've noticed that glycerin can dry out your hair in the summer too. So I would be careful.

Yay! Sounds like you can be done with those soon. And thanks for responding on my glycerin question. It has widened my eyes to all of my hair problems.

My 'concotion' was not good and left my hair extremely hard- had to wash it out. I think I am going to not use some of my products for a while and see what happens.

I must confess. There are 2 items in my stash that it had to just throw out. 1. Aloe Vera curl gel. I tried to give this away but none of my natural friends wanted it. 2. Organic root stimulator twist & loc gel. Gives me ok definition when wet, but when my hair dries my hair turns into a puff. No hold.

Okay I already try to finish everything before getting new things but whenever I happen to buy something that doesn't work, it just goes onto the shelf and sits there.

This is my list of things in the bathroom:

Sulphate poo
Neutral Shampoo

Low poo
De Tuinen Mexican Cactus

Conditioner
Aubrey Organics GPB
Curl Junkie Beauticurls Argan & Olive Oil
Jane Carter Solution Nutrient Replenishing Conditioner

Detangler/LI
Kinky-Curly Knot Today

Stylers
Body Shop Cottonseed Curl Booster
Curl Junkie Curl Queen
Jane Carter Solution Wrap & Roll
Kinky-Curly Original Curling Custard (okay this is actually empty)
Tigi Bed Head Foxy Curls Contour Creme

It's more than I thought it would be. I think I'm going to give my low poo to my boyfriend or my mum because I don't like it. It disagrees with my low porosity hair and just sits on it. I hate the GPB conditioner because my hair sheds like crazy when I've used that. I've almost finished the bottle so I'm thinking of just throwing out that last bit.

The Jane Carter Solution products I've only used once because I got an allergic reaction to them. I've put them on the swap board but haven't had any luck so far.

I've used the Body Shop Cottonseed Curl Booster only a few times and never had luck with it. I bought it despite knowing that there are polyquats in it. My hair just doesn't like polyquats and gets massive build-up. This is why I haven't finished my bottle of CJ CQ either. I have about 1/5 of the bottle left.

The Foxy Curls Creme is left from my pre-CG days. I loved it, but I don't dare using it any more because it has cones in it. However, I've used that product successfully for over a year when using a low poo (ABBA True Curls Shampoo), so I've been thinking about giving it a try again, just to see how my hair responds.
