Hmmm well if the Foxy Curls works and you have a low-poo, I suggest trying it again. You never know!

Had to throw out my curls quenched moisturizer. Too much glycerin & it was only a sample so not much left anyway. I have also had it for 7mnths.

Sent from my Samsung S3*
High Porosity, Fine, Thin Density, Low Elasticity
Co-wash, leave in, and gel: Alba botanica coconut cond., ogx mousse, &/or super wet look gel.
Curls
I was waiting until I received my order from iherb before posting my list. It's quite lengthy now that I have pulled everything out and am looking at it so this challenge is definitely needed!

Shampoo/low poo:
Kinky-Curly Come Clean
SM Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine
SM Raw Shea Butter Moisture Retention
Yes To Cucumbers
Suave Naturals Clarifying (I have a huge bottle that I'll never get through without some clever uses of it)

Conditioners:
Tresemme Naturals nourishing Moisture (3.5 bottles)
GVP Conditioning balm (3.5 bottles)
Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose (3 bottles. This is what I just ordered on iherb.)
V05 Kiwi Lime Squeeze
Suave Naturals Tropical Coconut
Deva Curl Heaven in hair
Deva Curl One Condition
Eden Bodyworks Jojoba Monoi Deep Conditioner
As I Am Co wash

Leave-in:
Kinky-Curly Knot Today
As I am Leave-In Conditioner
Carol's Daughter Hair Milk (I have had this for at least 3 years)

Stylers:
SM Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie
SM Coconut & Hibiscus Curling Gel Soufflé
Kinky-Curly Curling Custard
Kinky-Curly Spiral Spritz
CHS Curl Keeper (this I only use late spring through early fall)
Deva Care Arc AnGEL
Ouidad Climate Control Gel
LA Looks Mega mega hold (yellow)
LA Looks Extreme Sport (blue)
La Bella Lots of Curls

Oils:
Coconut Oil
Jojoba Oil

I must say, the one category that will be very difficult for me to get through is the shampoo. I usually co-wash, but most of these shampoos were gifts (SM and Yes to Cucumbers) so I couldn't return them. Oh well, time to get creative!

So I am going to be completely honest with you guys. I caved and bought 2 products. The only reason I did was I have been going through a depressive stage over my hair for 2 weeks. I haven't bought any hair products in a few weeks, but that does not make it an excuse.

Pretty much the dews have been below 30 and most of my products contain humectants. I have been mixing things, going naked (no product), and researching. And I relized that some of the products I have aren't going to be as good until the dew points increase. So for $5 at Target, I got Curls (it's their kids brand) cupcakes n' cream conditioner. It contained more emollients that I think my hair needed. I also bought Aussie Instant Freeze gel bc it's the only gel that I could find that was as anti-humectant as possible. I also bought a travel size of the Nexxuss humectress conditioner. (Yes the last 2 contain cones but I am not following any method anymore bc I am sick and tired of feeling like I have to follow these strict rules. I just want my hair to look nice).

Today, I low-poo'ed with Curls Cleansing cream,
Detangled with my cupcakes n' cream and then left it in as a leave in.
I then used my AIF gel and then my dumba$% put CO after the gel. I really need to seal in these dews.

I'm also thinking that I'm only considering Foxy Curls because I am at a loss with my routine. I have no low poo that I like (de Tuinen makes my hair gunky and weird), the only conditioner that I can use is CJ AO, which is a great conditioner, but very moisturising so I can only use it when my hair really needs a shot of moisture. And then I don't have any KCCC left and have to wait until it's back in stock again, so I'm back to making my own FSG. That's not too bad, but ever since I started using KCCC, I don't like FSG as much any more.

Does any of this make any sense?

I really appreciate that you're listening by the way

Also, Samanthacurlz, I think that the idea of using everything up before you buy something new is great, but in this case you made a very conscious decision. You bought these products because you have noticed that your hair has different needs right now. Besides, everything with baby steps

As far as whats going on with you, I don't think you're wrong for feeling the way you do. So I want to make sure I understand everything. Are u worried about using the foxy curls bc you don't have a good low-poo, thus you might risk build-up? I know it sucks to almost take risks, but I am at this stage with experimenting. Using the foxy curls one time shouldn't cause an issue.

Also, I agree with sixelamy!!

And maybe it's not even that I don't have those products at hand. I think my problem is that I am just really confused right now when it comes to my hair (I even start to doubt whether it's fine or not). Maybe because I'd feel like giving up if I use cones again.

I also don't like that my ponytail doesn't look nice and voluminous any more like it used to unless I follow my routine and then put it in a ponytail (which means that I have to wait for about eight hours before I get to that point).

I'm just so done with spending money on products that I've selected so carefully, only to find that they don't work. I like knowing what results I can expect, and I just can't rely on that right now. I'm hoping that once I get a new tub of KCCC I can truly experiment with my most recent discovery, which is that my hair likes KCCC best on damp instead of wet hair. Foxy Curls also worked best on damp hair, so maybe that's key for me.

I know you said you feel funny sending your hairs over here, how about trying a couple different methods from different hair types? I'm finding sealing with an oil is key for me or else my ends get so dry. I was avoiding oils like the plague, because someone told me incorrectly that I was low porosity. I was using oils before that first hair analysis, I should've kept at it.

I'm actually considering to get the hair analysis next month. I think knowing for sure what my properties are will help me to understand why my hair behaves in a certain why better than I do know. I am certain that I have low porosity hair but I'm never sure about my width. Originally I thought it was coarse!

It's Thursday morning here and I didn't have the guts to use Foxy Curls. Instead, I simply used one of my old techniques: wetting my hair with my spray bottle, then scrunching in the product (in this case, the last bit of my FSG). I have not combed my hair with a wide tooth comb as I usually would do. For this reason, it appears to be a bit frizzy, but I'm curious to see what happens when it is completely dry. I will not throw out Foxy Curls - I just can't, that product has done good things for my hair back when I used it - but I think I'm just not ready yet to go back to it.

Tonight I will cook a new batch of FSG. One of the things I disliked was the crunch the honey I used for hold gave me, but with CJ AO as a LI, that did not seem to be a problem. I think I need to experiment more with the things that I have here.

Also, I'm going to start a new thread that focuses on what we do like about our hair, because most threads are about problems and dislikes, and I notice that those are the things that I pay attention to instead of the things that I like about my hair. I'll do that later today - first I have to do some writing and finish that questionnaire for my research.
