Low poo- tangles

So just wondering if this is normal for a low poo. I've used Shea moisture retention shampoo, yes to cucumber shampoo, and the curl junkie gentle cleansing conditioner. All of which leave my hair feeling stripped and knotted. Currently I'm using ytc and it leaves my hair knotted and stripped. I rinse it out and dump a lot of conditioner on my hair and it goes back to manageable. I need some help or maybe recommendations.

Look at the pH of your products and consider what cleansing agents are being used. Hair tends to like pH ~4.5 but this varies from person to person. Glucosides, fatty alcohols and cationic surfactants are the gentler emulsifiers.

I find my hair feels more stripped or 'dry' after using too much fatty acids (oils and butters); others don't do well with hydrolysed protein on virgin roots.

You might be better using a really basic lightweight conditioner that is not marketed as a cleanser. Something like Suave Naturals, V05 or Inecto.

I'm wondering if you have hard water.

The Curl Junkie poo is the gentlest I've ever tried. It's not stripping on me at all, but if its stripping for you then maybe you'd do better with a cowashing routine? Part of me wonders if you have hard water Nd hard water buildup that could be contributing to that feeling.

I would never use acv on my hair. I had a horrible experience with acv. I used a half teaspoon of acv to a sink full of water. After rinsing, my hair was hard, shedding, & red. I could put my hand in my hair, take it out & see hair in my hand. An alternative to this is sea breeze. Yes it's an astringent for your face, but it can also do the same thing for your hair without making it hard & shedding.
The SM Moisture Retention shampoo dried my hair out, and YTCucs can be drying as well. Have you tried the SM Coconut & Hibiscus shampoo? That one I found to have some slip where I was able to put my fingers through my hair. I don't get many tangles otherwise, but I can when I'm shampooing. You could also try a conditioner as a pre-wash to detangle if you don't already?

Not everybody has a bad reaction to ACV, it leaves my hair super soft and manageable.
