Default A question about shampoos and silicones

At the moment I'm using products with silicones and a silicone free shampoo to remove the silicones. Would I get buildup if I used a shampoo with silicones?

Good question, I'd like to know the right answer to this as well. Many shampoos, sulfate-frees as well, contain dimethicone for instance.

I know the answer to this. One of my previous shampoos had a cone in it. I definitely got buildup. It was the D cone. I had to use a non cone shampoo to get that out. I was all CG on my conditioners and stylers so it was def that shampoo. I had to rotate in a no cone sulfate shampoo every third day or my hair would get wonky.

I wish they would stop sneaking that stuff in, ruins a perfectly good product most of the time

Hm, that's too bad. Thanks though! My mom doesn't know how to handle curly hair so I love naturallycurly.com! It's like an online army of hair savvy aunties!
