Is this gel CG?

Hi, this is my first post and I've just started the CG method

Looking for a gel and came across this one which is a really cheap own brand (Tesco, UK). No obvious no-no's from the reading I've done into CG so far but is there anything in here I should avoid?

Aqua,PVP ,Polysorbate 20 ,Triethanolamine ,Carbomer ,PEG-12 Dimethicone , Diazolidinyl Urea ,Parfum ,Disodium EDTA ,Tocopheryl Acetate ,Panthenol , Benzophenone-4 ,CI 18965 ,CI 42051

or this one (even cheaper!)

Aqua,Triethanolamine ,Carbomer ,Polysorbate 20 ,PVP ,Diazolidinyl Urea ,Sodium Methylparaben ,Disodium EDTA ,Parfum ,Benzophenone-4 ,CI 42051

Any help would be really appreciated! Is either better than the other, both good/okay/bad?

xo

The first one has dimethicone, which I believe is a silicone. For the most part, I personally stay away from all products that have *cone in their ingredient lists. I am also mod-CG in that I shampoo/clarify/chelate about once a week
thanks for replying - i thought i read somewhere that if a cone has PEG- in front of it, it's water soluble so okay? or is it still best to steer clear...
Both look fine. There is a list of high street CG friendly products over on British Curlies; also reviews.

The Boots own brand gel is generally well rated, whereas Wilko's is rubbish. Not sure about Tesco but I'd try the first product in the absence of any reviews.

okay thanks guys - think i will give it a go then if it seems okay as it's only 44p! on a student budget
Is one of those the Pantene curly gel? I use that and the ingredients list looks very much like those.

2c/3a, fine, low porosity.

Poo: Garnier Fructis Pure Clean (yes, it has A Sulfate!!, but I have Teflon hair)
Co-wash (when I feel so inclined, which isn't often!): VO5 Kiwi Lime Clarifying Conditioner
Conditioner/LI:
same for both -- whatever I have in the shower at the time (I experiment a lot)
Style: EcoStyler Olive Oil <3
Dry: Diffuse or air dry, or both...depends on my mood

Trick - no, they're both Tesco's own brand gels (in UK) - the second one is their everyday value gel which is 15p! but think I will splash out on the 44p one
interesting that the ingredients lists are similar tho. do you like the pantene one?
Do let us know what you think, there are a few UK curlies posting here regularly.
