KCCC = Love?

I used KCCC for the first time on Sunday. I had absolutely amazing curls. I used DevaCurl OneC as my leave-in before applying KCCC. Unfortunately, I have not been able to duplicate my results in the last couple days. I'm either using too much or not enough KCCC. I'm not going to give up though. Sunday's curls were my dream curls.
Your products may not be the issue, what was the weather like on Sunday? Was there more or less humidity in the air than there has been since? Was it raining? I find that the exact same products and technique definitely don't give me the same results if the weather is different.

2c/3a, fine, low porosity.

Poo: Garnier Fructis Pure Clean (yes, it has A Sulfate!!, but I have Teflon hair)
Co-wash (when I feel so inclined, which isn't often!): VO5 Kiwi Lime Clarifying Conditioner
Conditioner/LI:
same for both -- whatever I have in the shower at the time (I experiment a lot)
Style: EcoStyler Olive Oil <3
Dry: Diffuse or air dry, or both...depends on my mood

I find KCCC to work in any kind of weather, my guess is it was more the Deva OC that was your culprit. It contains a fairly high amount of glycerin, so you really need to watch your dew points when using it. It works great for me in the spring/summer, but is horrid in winter. We had a dew point spike the other day and I used my glycerin products and my hair had never felt better! But then the next day and subsequent days the dew point is back down and can't handle glycerin... makes my hair dry and just not so great looking.

I definitely used too much product today. I'm still scrunching crunch and I've been at work for 3 1/2 hours.
There ya go! Keeping track of them is really a PITA. But if you need to experiment or are looking for an explanation, this is something to test out and see if it really is the problem. Since ditching glycerin this last half of the winter, my hair has been completely different after battling so many bad hair days.

I have some KCKT at home. Maybe I'll try that tomorrow instead of the OneC.

I started using KCKT and my hair changed instantly. Hoping it works great for you too!

I love KCCC too - I haven't noticed too much of a difference in different weather/dew points - although I don't pay attention to dew points either. pinksugar, let us know how it works with KCKT - that is usually what I pair it with too (my son stole my One C haha).
pw: curls
3b/a
Cowash - No Poo, Suave Coconut
Conditioner - One Condition
Leave In - KCKT
Gel - KCCC at the moment
Love this stuff! The line is a staple of mine. For my curls I found out that the only leave in that works is with the KCCC is the KCKT. I used other leave ins and with the gel on top of it just left white film. Also it took a while to measure the right amount of gel as I am very heavy handed.

Okay, so KCKT was the magic trick! I love my results with KCKT and KCCC!

Now I need suggestions for a cowash/no poo/ low poo without Glycerin. Preferably, paraben free too!

I love Yes to Cucumbers and Sevi Seabuckthorn Berry shampoos. I also like Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat, feels great on the scalp and body if you're achey. There is very little glycerin in YTCucs, it's all the way on the bottom of the list, and I haven't had any problems with it all winter. Best cowash/no poo I've ever used is Kiss My Face Whenever Conditioner. I just posted a review about it this morning.

I should have checked here before going to Target on my lunch break. I went there looking for Shea Moisture Co-wash. They didn't have it. I could have sworn I saw it there last night. Anyways, I could have picked up one of your other suggestions. Next time. Thanks for the suggestions!

How does the YTCucc's compare to the YTCarrots conditioner?

I'm so jealous of the big KCCC lovefest. It was the first CG styler I purchased (didn't use stylers before) and I was SO EXCITED, but it just didn't work out for me.

Maybe I didn't use it right, maybe it's not great for super high dews, maybe it's just not for me... I don't know.... I want to love it like everyone else though!

Just bought a jar of the KCCC! But I'm currently using As I Am leave-in... hoping that I don't have disappointing results ...

I love, love, love EDEN Body Works Coconut Shea Cleansing Cowash... don't know if it's glycerin free though (still trying to figure out all those "smarty pants" names for things, lol)...

After reading this thread I went and bought the KCKT leave in and tried that this morning with my KCCC and YOU ARE SO RIGHT! The first time I tried using KCCC I hated it because my hair felt hard and yucky. I definitely think I was using too much and I didn't use a leave-in with it. The second time I used it with a eufora leave-in and it still left my hair soft but the definition was pretty much not there at all and I had so much frizz. Today, I used the KCKT and the KCCC and my hair is about halfway dry and it feels bouncy and soft and the curls are all defined! So happy for everyone who posts on these threads it has been helping me a lot!
