Yes I did. There was nothing wrong with my previous stylist - I just felt I could find a better one, and in a salon where I got pampered. My new stylist is young, took an hour with me but here is what she did: she did some snipping on my dry hair; then she used MY products to shampoo and condition (she was totally OK with that); diffused it dry. Then we looked at it; and I said to her (after looking at the back) "Some people have kind of a U shape in the back". She agreed, and we discussed. She decided that some additional trimming was in order, so she trimmed the back into a U shape that is really nice. I got, along with the haircut, a scalp massage; and, while MY conditioner was sitting on my hair, I got a lovely hand massage. $37 + tip. I am very satisfied and made another appt. I have not had my hair cut wet in a LONG time, and I think it looks fine. I seem to have more tight spirals now but my hair goes through stages....

It does look nice! Are you still happy with it today? I had my hair cut Friday for the first time in four months (really needed it), but haven't rewashed yet. I can never tell for sure how I feel until I've done my routine on it.

I rarely like how a stylist does my hair. The pic I posted was taken today, a week later. I have washed and styled it many times since. Yes, I am pretty happy with it. However, my hair has not been cut wet in a long time, and I think it kind of was in "shock". She cut it both dry and wet but it was not the single, curl by curl cut that Deva stylists do. I have had that done and I am not sure it is a superior cut.
Oh wow! your hair looks great!

Reminds me alot of what my hair would look like if I had left it curly, but it looks much better on you. =D
Very fine, high porosity, currently dyed and growing out the relaxed portions. I'm pretty sure my hair's 3b something IIRC. We will be finding out for sure as time goes by.

It's official: My hair just loves Shea Moisture. I use a mixture of products from the Raw Shea Butter, African Black Soap, and Coconut & Hibiscus lines.
It looks nice Myrna! Voluminous and more... pow

Guess I should have looked at the first post date, sorry! I don't usually like how stylists do my hair, either. It never feels quite "right." I'm pleased with my cut now that I've styled it myself.

Curly, I think its pretty common that we like the way we do our own hair best. After all, we know our own hair - most of the time! Wavy, I just keep saying how much more healthy my hair is now that I stopped coloring it...and yes it looks fuller. I was doing my roots every three weeks. I think my hair was ....damaged. Now it is not.
