Precision cuts?

What exactly are precision hair cuts?

I see this term in a lot (not all) of salon ads in the yellow pages, but can't find any definition of such on the web.
to the best of my knowledge, precision cutting is where everything is perfect. if you have a line in your hair, it is perfectly cut. i used to wear an inverted bob with the nape of my neck shorn off that had to be cut precisely else it looked silly if hairs were out of place.

i think haircuts specifically for curly hair are not so precise. theoretically, i would say that a curly hair cut should be uneven to compensate for the variation in curls, and why curls are best cut dry.

this is just a guess hope it helps!
