Well, I haven't been able to do my hair like my stylist at all. I am feeling so frustrated with it. I miss the length because on bad hair days I could put it up in a bun and it looked fine. Now, the bun is so small it just looks ridiculous. When I use the products from the salon my hair gets curly enough but throughout the day it gets so dry and it feels awful and poofy. I hate how it sits on my neck and shoulders and I can't put it back anymore. I've decided to go CG all the way and just try to find some style that looks decent enough to wear until I can get my length back. So far this is what I have:

Shampoo: Nature's Gate Tea Tree Calming Sulfate Free
Daily Conditioner: Tresseme Naturals and Nature's Gate Tea Tree Calming Sulfate Free Conditioner
Styler: KCCC

I ordered the Komaza Aloe LI yesterday because the LI's I have now aren't CG. I also made my own deep conditioner last night that I used on my hair for an hour and it made my hair really soft. I think I'm just going to continue to make it on days that I deep condition instead of buying something else.

Still miss my length even if the ends were crap I think it just made transitioning easier when I could just throw it up when I was unahppy with the curl on certain days.

Feeling discouraged today
Awww don't get discouraged. You just have to find what works for you. As far as the length, I'm sure it will grow back soon enough! It's been a struggle for me too....for months I have been trying different products, some days my hair looked insane and other days it looked semi-decent. I'm just now starting to think I've got a hold on it but I'm sure no sooner then it really warms up I'll be heading back to the drawing board.

Until then......I just started using the Giovanni Direct Leave In and I absolutely love it! I haven't used it alone because I put a little KCCC just to ensure my hair has enough hold but once I SOTC my hair is still pretty soft, the curls are defined and I don't have too much frizz. Keep in mind I also diffuse which gives me nice volume, not too much though.

I am right there with you!! I can never achieve the look my stylist does. It's like she has magic.....

I'm trying new products and techniques all of the time though. Haven't found anything that works continuously the same. Don't give up though! I think diffusing would help a lot. I guess I just have to get up earlier because I can only diffuse 80% dry hair or else it frizzes out.
