How long should my hair take to stabilize its curl patern? Also until then should I cut my hair or even trim it at all?

lovely hair! I think my curl pattern is a lot like yours, only my hair is longer and curls not as defined on a regular basis. =Z Do you mind if I ask what your routine is? =)

I lately have changed my routine and started cowashing and acgtually made it to work! I do everything with flipped head unless I state otherwise

Steps:
-Wet my hair upside, preferably with the shower as far as I can from my head, while I scrunch slowly to fully wet hair.
-Started cowashing by putting my cowash, that is a local brand conditioner that is mostly pure protein, on my fingertips like I would put toothpaste on my tooth brush, and massage really really really really really really...REALLY thoroughly all over my scalp. Still with my head fliped upside.
-I then may let some CO or rinse some and add my detangling condish my scrunching it is until I stop hearing the sqishing sound. I let it sit for as long as I do all the other stuff in my shower(wash body, shave etc). Again my head is mostly upside and I am kinda blind but it gives me root volume.
-when I feel that my hair is soft enough I start detangling with my tangle teezer ,the aqua splash one. I do that in sections and then run the tangle teezer at the end in big chunks of hair and twist them.
-Now I would flip my hair the right way and rinse some of the condish out but I would part my hair before everything was rinsed as it would mess up my clumps.
-Then I would add my 2 heavy ones. GF Pure Clean, that I adore as LI as well!, and a heavy mask I have with carite milk. Let them sit for a few and then cool rinse them out. I found out that cool rinse wasn't working because my hair wouldn't be enough conditioned when the cuticle was closing.
- Get out of the shower with dripping hair ( I might have already applied my LI while in the shower because it would be easier). Apply LI or add some more if I have already applied it and my hair seems a bit prone to tangle.
-Now in winter I would seal hair with almond oil but in mid range dews it makes my hair object even wet it's still wet.
-Use a tshirt to take some moisture out(until I see some curling happening).
-Scrunch my mousse in and then scrunch the excess out. Not that much though as it mousse is never too much on my hair. While I apply my stylers I ulternate fliping right or upside down on demand to fix or give a curl boost on a side or part of head.
-Smooth over my gel and twist each side of hair then scrunch with the tshirt as it gives me less messy tangled look than my fingers.
-Lately I have been using my sealment after my gel and it seems to work better,
-Plop for maybe an hour or even more and diffuse if I have to go out or let air dry if I am home.

During nightime I wear a satin cap and I have my hair in a pinaple(it helps with volume on 2nd day) and I have tied a satin scarf around my pillow until I get a proper pillowcase.

2nd/3rd/4th day refresh:

-I wet my hair with levander concoction from the curly girl book just to smooth frizziness and I might smooth on some LI and gel as my gel helps with my curl definition. Scrunch with my hands a little as more has caused my frizz.

OMG that is a lot lol!!!

Goodness, that is a lot... Thanks so much for writing it all out for me! My routine is quite a bit simpler than that right now, but you wrote out multiple things that I would like to try! What made you decide on mousse over gel as a styler? I've tried mousse and liked it, I just seem to go through it sooo quickly; I have to use so much of it! =)
At the beginning my hair was getting oily easier so mousse was making it less flat. This is what made me try it. After the first application I saw it gave me awesome root curls so I just added gel on top to try a preserve that. There are days I might do less but my hair gets thirsty very easy. If I don't condition it enough on wash day then it is pure dry. Lately it has been giving me always frizz but dews are higher atm so I need to do trial and error.
