How long between hair cut?

I'm just wondering how long everyone waits between haircuts?

I stopped straightening my hair and went CG 6 months ago and got my last cut 5 months ago. (5 months is the longest I have ever gone without a cut)

I'm loving my curly hair now but I miss the straight hair visits to the salon. I used to love going to the hairdressers and although my last cut was a good one, the style was terrible. I could have cried when I left the salon. I've used the same hairdresser for three years but this was the first time she styled my hair curly, talk about POODLE! I'm going to talk to her about the styling the next time I'm in because she did everything you shouldn't do to curly hair!

I'm also worried about how much she'll take off, I'm trying to grow my hair and getting frustrated with the shrinkage (even though my shrinkage is minimum compared to some of you ladies here)

I miss the "like you've just stepped out of the salon" feeling! :'(

I try to trim once a year on the new moon in Leo. However, I had to trim just recently and didn't make it to July. So I guess I already had my major trim for this year. Maybe I will just dust 1/8th of an inch off if necessary before next year this time. Once or twice a year at most to try to keep my length
And I trim it myself like this.

I trim my ends by myself when I notice that my ends are dry, low-dense and prone to tangling. At this moment, my trims/cuts were mostly 6 months in between.
When I used to straight my hair, I trimmed/cut my hair every 3 months to make my ends less uneven.

Since I'm transitioning since 2 years, I guess I should trim more often to remove damaged ends, but recently I'm reaching waist length and want to grow it out further first XD

I only go to the hairdresser when I think my front side/fringe needs a "chop" lol.

Usually twice a year or so. But I really should go every three months or so. My hair grows way too fast!

I have mine cut every two months. I have the roots coloured every four weeks and have a trim every second visit. If and when I colour it myself I may stretch to three monthly trims.
3b in South Australia.
I average about 5-6 months in between cuts. Since I grew out/cut off the really damaged hair, I don't really get any split ends until around the 7 month mark. My hair needs to be reshaped before I see my first split end.

Now that I go to someone who knows how to cut my curls, it is usually every 3-4 months. My hair grows extremely fast though, so it may be longer for others.
