If you wanted to keep the length, long layers might make that work. Depending on how well your hair handles layers.

My vote is also medium length with some Long layers, long enough to still pull back..Your hair is gorgeous!! I do see more wave/curl at a shorter length than the very long..I thing you need to have some weight released for it can curl more..Good Luck...

My vote is for chin-length. It looks lovely and full and curly at that length. I think the weight of longer hair pulls out the curl quite a bit for you. But all of them are lovely. I love the color!

Ok, I actually like your hair in all the pictures except #2-#5. It's something in the way your hair has been cut there, they way they've graduated it away from the face on the sides. I don't like that, and I wouldn't like it on mine either. The very short pic does make your face look thinner, but I didn't actually think about it until you mentioned it in another post so I went back to look again. Like many of the others have said, you could definitely have your length at medium or long, but I would put more layers in, that would just give it more oomph. Having said that, I think you should have more layers no matter which length, but not graduated layers, just piecey layers, like a devachan type cut. I'm jealous of all your volume though!

I think it's hard for almost anyone to pull off chin-length hair w/out looking a touch matronly -- Princess Di, & apparently, you excepted. My fave look on you is shoulder length. It softens your face, gives you versatility, & you just look the most comfy in it. Chin length is my 2nd choice.

Ahem -- apologies to all you curlies who look perfectly lovely in your chin-length do's. I simply have a long-hair bias, just like y'all have a short-hair bias.

Do you think it makes my face look too round? I have a genetic, kinda-double-chin thing going that makes me insecure about my neck area. Even when I was in high school and not even 110 lbs, I had it, so I know it's not a weight thing.
Yes, that's the way it looks to me. I have the same kind of chin thing. Well, I'm older than you are, but my chin lost its definition by the time I was about 30.

Probably if it were even a little longer than chin length it would break up the line pointing the eye toward your jaw. I do really like the curliness of your hair in those pics.

I hate to use pictures of myself to make a point (especially a blurry unflattering one) but here they are.
The first pic shows my chronic double-chin thing (and my big nose) but I think the chin length cut made
my neck look longer and sorta hid the double-chin, if that makes any sense.

The second pic just shows the back (and my favorite drink - COKE! )

ok--i am going to vote for the long hair which i think is really gorgeous on you.i think people did not vote for it partly because the pictures with long hair are not great-- the light is a bit weird but i think it looks wonderful on you. as everyone said tho, all the lengths look good in their own way. if you do decide to cut it tho, come up to ny and go to devachan!

I added new long hair pics since I'm having a better hair day today.
I was careful to keep the pics in the same order though for those who made pic number references.

koukla72, thanks for the great skin comment. I actually have rosacea, so that means a lot!

Lush and koukla, in the short cut, I was growing out a Hally Berry cut so the graduation was definitely still quite severe since I was growing out all I had. I generally like my hair shorter in the back and longer in the front (which also helps when I pull it back).

I like the look of fullness with the layers at chin length, but I'd vote for the shoulder length overall. Maybe somewhere below-chin-to-shoulders, something to maintain the curl pattern and fullness? I really like the curls when short, but I don't like those lengths on you as much. Long makes you lose those gorgeous curls, and I hate to see that!

Great curls in the new pics!

Even still, I like medium length the best. Long hair makes your face seem longer and your hair seems to lose some of it's oomph if that makes any sense.

Yes, that's how I think you should have it. It's the way they've cut it in pics #4 and #5, with it angled away from the face that I don't think is as flattering. I can imagine you would be a bit hesitant to go shorter again after growing it out, I know I would, but honestly your curls look good at all of the lengths.

I like the super short, and the short pictures. I agree w/ those who say the longer hair kind of drags your face down. Chin length is also very cute, but I could see how that could draw attention to what you called your "inherited double chin" - since the cut ends right where that so called "problem area" would be.

I noticed you labels the pics with 2b and 3a sides. I have a 3a/b and a 3b/c side. So I thought I'd pass on a helpful hint: zigzag part so some of each type falls to each side (make sense?). It helps my hair look more even.

And I'll stick with my "somewhere around your shoulders" vote. Also like my sis, longer hair does seem to drag your features down.

Another vote for chin length here! I really like that length on you. I think the longer hair makes your face look very long. I just really like the shorter hair, by shorter I mean chin length.

The curls seem springier at that length too, an added bonus!
