Need a new drugstore RO

So I currently use GVP for a rinse out but I always like to have two because my hair likes when I rotate products. I recently found out that my second has cetyl esters in it (yes to blueberries) and my hair dislikes that. Im looking for something Drugstore or sallys thats a good RO AND PROTEIN FREE. Thanks!

Tried posting on protein sensitive page and got no replies :(

How about one of the Tresume naturals conditioners, unless you've already tried those?

Out of curiosity, what reaction does your hair have to cetyl esters?

I've used Suave Tropical coconut conditioner. Bear in mind that hair needs a balance of protein & moisture to stay healthy unless you have coarse hair. Protein will make your hair dry. That's why you need to deep condition after using a protein treatment. I can use conditioners with a small amount of protein in it. (With the protein in the middle of the ingredient list) I use the Shea moisture anti breakage deep treat. It has some protein in it but doesn't dry out my hair too much. I use a hydrating conditioner after.

I can't speak for what Greencup13's hair does, but cetyl esters are a waxy ingredient. Waxes are one ingredient cowashing doesn't do a good job of removing. Some people don't have issues with cetyl esters, while others get buildup fairly quickly.

My hair basically get very very bad build up. Gets tangled like a rats nest. Unable to comb through no matter how much conditioner I apply. Hair gets waxy and conditioner won't touch the hair. Which basically ends up with me using a low poo/acv and sometimes a sulfate shampoo with no silicones. It's terrible.

I used to really like Tresemme Naturals, but that was before they reformulated their product. The only drugstore RO I'm currently using is GVP like you!

Tresseme made me have an allergic reaction 😔 hmmm I really like using drugstore because I go through so much. Maybe ill have to just start ordering

Apple cider vinegar can cause hair problems. Be careful using it.
