Is it unhealthy to co-wash everyday? And how often is it okay to deep condition?

There is nothing wrong with deep conditioning your hair more than once a week (if you feel your hair needs it). Deep conditioners are designed to provide nourishment, deep hydration, softness, and strength to your hair. if you are someone who happens to wash your hair more than once a week, you can certainly opt to deep condition your hair after cleansing it. Also, it would be good to do a protein treatment on your hair at least once a month to provide superior strengthening to your hair. This acts as a booster towards your hair's overall health.

It's really going to depend on how your hair responds. Until my physical activity level was limited from a herniated disc, I cleansed my hair daily. I didn't always co-wash. I alternated between regular co-washing, cleansing conditioner, low-poo, and even a gentle sulfate shampoo, depending on how my hair felt. I also don't have a PT/DT schedule. If it feels like my hair needs it, I do it. Otherwise, I don't. I can't even remember the last time I did a DT.

I cowash nightly to detangle my hair after my wash n go for the day. Then I deep condition overnight every night. No problems here. I alternate between moisture and a light protein.
If you feel your hair does well with daily CO, then keep on doing it, but it's not necessary for everyone. I usually CO a few times a week. I almost never do DTs. They're too much trouble and I use rich enough leave ins that I don't really need them.

I've read several times how water itself can damage the hair, first because of water absorbed engorging it and causing internal damage to the hair, and then the chemicals like chlorine and/or minerals/metals in it, so I say "yes, it's unhealthy".

May I ask why exactly you feel the need to co-wash every single day?

@GCSince2002 if you do a lot of physical activity were you are dripping with sweat then you want to wash your whole body particularly if you are like me and end up with dry sweat on your face, neck and other parts of my body that has dried white.

As you probably know, there's lots of people who've had the habit of shampooing every day, some because of too much oil on their scalp, my daughter is or was one of them.
