Quaternium-80 is a silicone or not?
I'm a bit confused. I googled it yesterday. But I'm not sure, because I was looking for a co and found one saying it was cone free...and still had quat 80 in it.

No, it is not a cone but a polyquat. For some people (like me), polyquats build-up.

It's not a polyquat. It is a water soluble silicone surfactant (quaternized).
rbb likes this.
3A canopy with 3B underneath
Low poo, not afraid of amine-based silicones or polyquats, silk proteins are good as well.
Polyquat 80, I believe is in Deva styling foam, it may be poly 60.
Quat 80 is not a silicone. It is made from coconut oil and keeps down hair static. Love the app I have that defines all hair ingredients.

I found an actual awesome app but it doesn't has solubility of ingredients. It is a cosmetics dictionary and has a meter of dangerous ingredients.
