Looser Curls?

I saw some posts about Curlaway on the other boards but they were old, I figured I'd ask about it again. Has anyone tried it? Is it any good. It is supposed to be natural and not permanent. It gradually loosens your curls the more you use it and when you stop using it, the curls come back. I spend so much time tryin to get through my curls in the shower, I would just like them to be looser. My hair gets curlier as it gets longer I remember when it was shorter, I was able to wet it, brush it and put it back in a scrunchi. Once it dried it was wavy and manageable, I can't do that anymore. Or if anyone has any other ideas as to how I could loosen my curls...please tell me, I am really interested.

Back on Cones,so now my routine is,wash with Deva No-Poo every other day or so. Occasionally use 365 sulfate free, maybe use low sulfate shampoo mixed with conditioner once every two weeks are longer. I condition with Aussie Moist or HEHH. I style with a little GF TN,and finish up with tons of GN Pure Clean Smoothing Cream. No frizz...slippy, happy hair.
Anybody?

Oh yeah I wanted to ask, when the rest of you curlies did relax with chemicals, when you would wash your hair would it be curly until you would blowdry or flat iron? Cause sometimes I would get a relaxer just to relax the curls and still wet it and leave it curly. I won't do that again cause I don't want the chemical, but this new stuff sounds interesting.

Hey I do not know about Curlway, but I know that coconut milk relaxes the curl. I know you can get it from the supper market for a $1 or $2. I also know some products have it like Curls Milkshake have coconut milk in it and i am sure other curly specific products.

Cool! I'll get some coconut milk. I guess you just put it on and use it as a DT. Does it hold other benefits other than relaxing, like moisturizing?

It should moisturize cuz it has quite a bit of fat and oil in it. Make sure you shake it up real well, even so, most cans or bottles of the stuff will have a thick cream stuck to the sides. This is pure fat and you can do with it what you will!!!
Izzy, started CG in January after being bald for over a year!
Currently using Devacurl No-Poo, One-C, Angell, Set-it-Free. Weekly Jessicurl WDT. Lemon-aid every other week.
i find that phytodefrissant is good for relaxing curls a bit - but i'm still figuring how how to best use it for that. i mostly use it when i blow my hair straight and it really helps with that. for curls, i think it's best when it's used with a gel for definition.

i'd love to hear your coconut milk report after you try it.
