Can you tell if your hair is going to "behave" or not? and what's your fix?

I could tell while I was rinsing my hair in the shower this morning that it wasn't going to be cooperative today (plus, I had a great hair day yesterday when I had nothing going on, which pretty much guaranteed a BAD day today when I had a reason for it to look nice! lol). Unfortunately, I didn't really have a 'fix' for the problem (frizzy wet clumps), so I had to just go with it and, sure enough, I'm moving on to frizzy dry clumps now.

Can you tell in advance if your hair is going to turn out right or not? And can you do anything about it? I can tell but it does no good when I can't change the end result -- basically it just bums me out about it sooner. lol

2c/3a, fine, low porosity.

Poo: Garnier Fructis Pure Clean (yes, it has A Sulfate!!, but I have Teflon hair)
Co-wash (when I feel so inclined, which isn't often!): VO5 Kiwi Lime Clarifying Conditioner
Conditioner/LI:
same for both -- whatever I have in the shower at the time (I experiment a lot)
Style: EcoStyler Olive Oil <3
Dry: Diffuse or air dry, or both...depends on my mood

I can kinda tell by seeing how my hair looks when wet, but it's hard to figure out what my hair needs to be happy.
3b, low porosity, high density, medium hair width hair

I can usually tell when my hair is going to behave and when it isn't. However, I've found that the days (usually weekends) that I don't care what it looks like, it comes out looking fabulous. Figures!

Definitely. This usually only happens if I'm using a new product my hair hates / have done some kind of experiment and my hair is like NOPE. I can tell when it's wet by the feel of it and the amount of frizz that it's going to look and feel bad once it dries.

Thankfully this doesn't happen on normal days, so when it happens on an experiment day, I just shove a load of coconut oil in it once it's dry and resolve to wash it again the next day.

I've never been good at "wet assessment". I can tell by a few minutes into diffusing if it's going to look cruddy or not, though. I never have enough time to fix it so I'm usually just stuck with it. Soon as it dries I usually just pony tail it for the rest of the day. It's annoying, for sure.

Low-poo: Yes to Cucumbers, Renpure Coconut Cream
Condish: GVP CB, V05 Vanilla Mint Tea
Leave in: Giovanni Direct Leave In
PT: Hair not responding well to protein anymore

Nope. I never have any freaking idea what my hair is going to do, although I can get clues based on the weather. And sometimes certain products will have a fairly predictable effect, but not always, so........

I try to embrace the uncertainty, since I get bored easily and at least I'm entertained by my own hair challenges.

I can usually tell once I've got all my products in. There's no rescuing it I'm afraid, I'll usually end up with a ponytail.
3b in South Australia.
I can usually tell if i'm going to have a good, bad or average hair week after my hair has been towel dried but not diffused. I can be surprised sometimes though, a few weeks ago I felt like my waves were quite limp on day 1, and then after plopping in a t shirt overnight they came back bouncy and ringlety. 😊
