From 3rd day on, I get flyaways at my roots consisting of the short new grown hairs.

What are your methods to smooth down those virgin hairs at the roots?

I take a small amount of hard hold gel, mix with a bit of water in my hands, and very lightly smooth them down. And of course, no touchy!

Hmm.. I was thinking: could it be that the new-grown hairs frizz more easily because I recently low-poo frequently? (once a week)

I am not sure. I tend to have some frizz regardless of what I do. Depending on dew points and products, I will get fly aways at times. The last mass frizz & fly experience I had was due to a product reaction and dew points. My hair was a frizzy mess when soaking wet and even worse when it dried. It can be hard to figure out exactly what the culprit is. There are numerous options but changing the routine up a bit can help. *That is if nothing else does*
When I hear terms like "hipster" I think, who told cliques they could leave high school??

When I have frizzy baby hairs or Flyaways, especially if I'm wearing my hair up, I'll use a product for edges like a thick gel/pomade and put a really small amount on a toothbrush(only used for this purpose) to smooth these hairs down. Right now I'm using creme of nature Argan oil edge control.

If I happen to get any flyaways, or need to tame my baby hairs, I will use a control paste or edge control gel for perfect taming of such. I have never tried the Creme of Nature Agran Oil Edge Control, Gel before, but I do know from watching YT videos that there are quite a number of people that use it and do like it alot. I have 3b curls that are a mix of fine and medium textures. Therefore, I cannot say that these products - CURLS Passionfruit Curl Control Paste and Design Essentials Honey Edge Taming Gel w/ Firm Hold (which I happen to personally use) will work exactly the same for others (with different curl types and hair textures) as they have consistently done for me. However, they certainly are worth giving a try. As, I can honestly say that I feel that these are really awesome products to use towards taming flyways and slicking down ones edges whenever and wherever needed. With these types of products, a little truly does go a long way. Also, I must add, that I have never experienced any flaking or buildup with either one.

I use a gel. It doesn't last for long though, unless I want hard helmet head, which nobody loves. Sometimes you just have to deal.

Thanks for your replies .
I think the baby hair flyaways are caused by the high relative humidity these weeks (80 - 100%).
For now I will keep on taming those hairs with a CG gel (I don't even mind a plastic effect lol) and later with FSG when I finally made that.
