Default Devacut!! and pictures!!

Have been CG since about January (so about 2 months) Couple weeks ago took the plunge and got a Devacut. I love the results so much! I have so much less fussing in the morning, as my curls just seem to form more uniformly by themselves. Also got my growing out highlights covered by an all-over brown color. The dark color makes my skin look so much better! Haven't been this dark in years, but I like it alot!

Now am just waiting for it to grow. Would like to eventually be past shoulder length. All my hair fell out a few years ago due to Alopecia Areata and I have only had hair for about 9 months now, so I think any hair is wonderful, but now I want to keep it all and never cut it again!! Since starting CG my hair is so soft, I used to have dry, crunchy, dull hair and was always fighting it. Now that I just let it dry naturally it usually looks better, but it was hard to break the habit of styling and trying to control it. And I think it will look better and better as it gets longer. Have been using all Devacurl products, but have a shipment of Jessicurl products coming and will try those next. Am already using the WDT though and it is wonderful stuff!

Anyway, the hair pictures are on my website, on the last page. You can see plenty of pictures of what my hair used to look like years ago on some of the other pages.

Honestly it's not my fault!!! But thank you!! I think because it's brand new and I haven't had a chance to damage it! I don't remember that it was this curly before it fell out, but then I spent all my time blow drying it and being kind of mean to it! (no wonder it hated me and all fell out )

All I do is basically follow the CG book. I No-Poo every other day or so. Leave most of the One-C in (although now I tend to rinse more of it out, I seem to be very well conditioned now) I scrunch dry with a microfiber towel, then scrunch in Angell. Usually I clip up some of the roots. Then I air-dry about 1/2 hour, while I am getting dressed, makeup, feed the dogs, etc. It takes an hour and a half for my hair to dry completely, so I diffuse for about 5-10 minutes to finish drying. Then I shake and scrunch upside down and then scrunch in about 5-6 spritzes of Set-It-Free sprayed onto my hands. Try to make sure to lay off the blow-dryer at least once a week.

OK, I have to edit this!! I just looked at your pictures and I want your hair! LOL!! That is exactly the length that I want to get to and I think my curls will look alot like that at that length. Sigh......guess I just have to wait! Yours is so thick and long! When mine was that length before it never looked as healthy. I am hoping and hoping that someday mine will look like yours!!!

izzyvet - I have serious hair envy. It's gorgeous! The Deva cut looks great.

Glad you're enjoying your hair so much.

I really like some of the Jessicurl products, especially the WDT!

YOur hair curls so uniformly now! So that's what a good cut looks like huh? I'll have to get one one day!
Your hair is so shiny now that it's darker! I love the color!

Wow, looks great! Those curls really are very uniform and shiny. I'm also loving my recent deva-cut too.

Keep up the good work taking care of your hair; it really shows!

Your hair is beautiful. Those curls are too cute! I love how the bangs are made up of loose waves. And the color. TO. DIE. FOR! So chocolately and shiny!

Thanks coming from you that is a real big compliment. I am thinking about cutting it short but I am waiting for it to grow all one length. Last time it was cut it was layered and frankly I can't stand having uneven curls. I like having even hair length all over so I may cut it short like yours in a couple of months, we will see.
Don't change what your are doing because your hair is soo beautiful and I can tell that it will be even more beautiful the longer it gets.
