selecting a Shea moisture leave-in

I was at BBB and they didn't have my usual leave-in (Garnier). So I decided to try to find another. Got overwhelmed with all the so-so options so went to the Shea section.
I was going to get the Raw Shea Butter detangler but then I looked at the coconut and hibiscus styling milk and I thought that was more popular so I got it.

I'm a 3a.

I use a rinse-out conditioner (currently Shea coconut & hibiscus), the I put leave-in conditioner on dripping wet hair, blot and apply gel.

What I'm looking for always in a conditioner is moisture. Both these products claim to provide some moisture. Did I choose right?

Of course I know everyone's experience is different and I'll be trying this out for myself soon.

thanks for any advice
The SM Milk is more like a styler/sealer. It doesn't really "add" moisture as a true conditioner would, but if put on wet hair, it can slow down drying time and help prevent moisture loss. The SM line has quality products but doesn't necessarily work for all. Tends to be very heavy so works best on higher-porosity folks.
2bc/ f / ii. low porosity roots/normal po. shaft. normal elasticity.

Currently using:
Low-poo: Jason Mango bodywash, CeraVe Foaming
Cowash: Cure Care
RO: Cure Care, V05 KL, G SAS
Styler: UFD CM (old formula), FSG + CNPF, DE Shine & Refine, AB Strong Hold gel, SM C&S milk
PT: IAgirl's gelatine, CJ Repair Me

hydrolized protein, jelly stylers
guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride, sulfates, jojoba oil
Neutral on cones.

iherb discount code: CFN646

Since I'm using a rinse-out conditioner, this may work
To get double bang, you can use some of you rinse-out conditioner as a leave-in conditioner, then add the SM Milk on top.

I do that sometimes

On thing I tried that didn't work was using the Shea masque as a leave-in. Someone here suggested that and my hair was a sticky mess. Everyone is different.
I liked the curl and style milk as s leave in but just tried their JBCO line and love it way more. It has a ton more product in the container too

I have the styling milk and I love it, I use a pretty generous blob because my hair-like yours- sucks it right up even if it seems like a lot initially. You should definitely let me know if you ever try the shea moisture detangler because I have had my eye on it for quite some time. I like the smoothie as well but I like the milk better for moisture (even though both products aren't necessarily geared toward being moisturizing like a leave in). The restorative (gold label) has been said to make a good leave in out of the shea moisture conditioners or so I have heard. I have tried that one as a leave in and it worked well. I once emailed Shea Moisture and asked them about using the coconut and hibiscus one as a leave in and they said it was fine too. Have you tried the thickening growth milk? It is a lot like the curl and style milk but it feels a lot lighter.

And, of course, after not finding the Garnier leave-in that I usuallly buy when I was looking for it, I saw it on sale at Rite-Aiid. So I'm stocked up now on care and styling products. My cabinet is full.
I totally understand what you mean about being stocked up. It's nice to be able to say no to buying new products lol. Let me know how it goes and also I think it's great to buy shea moisture products during their sales. I once got the curl and style milk for like 5 dollars because they were on get one half off. So totally do so then if anything.

But if I bought something everytime it was on sale I'd run out of space
As it is, I think I have 4 of the Garnier Pure Clean gels....but they're not that large, they're cheap (esp on sale) they I really like the product
Oh my gosh you're just like me then haha! I love getting products out of hand lol. I have been meaning to try that gel.

I use it alone or along with other products. Definitely worth trying.
@sdkitty Does it form a gel cast? I might need to grab some for myself.
