Curling Mousse

I recently came across some reviews for a couple different brands of curling mousse: Suave and Dove. I finally ordered some of the Suave curling mousse; my local Wal Mart doesn't carry it so I have to wait for it to arrive.

Yesterday I was out and about so I thought I'd check Rite Aid to see if I could pick some up but they didn't have it, either. They did have Got2B Kinkier curling mousse, so I picked some of that up. I had to stop at Wal Mart after that for some other stuff so while I was at Wal Mart I checked what curling mousses they did have and I picked up some Garnier Fructis curling mousse.

This morning I simplified my routine and only used my LI/Aloe Vera juice mixture to "rewet" my hair, some Spiral Solutions Curl Enhancing Jelly mixed with Garnier Fructis Style Extra Strong Curl Sculpting Gel (I combined the two in the bottle), and then sprayed a little bit of Got2B Kinkier spray curl gel on my hair and let it air dry for about 20 minutes. I then put a golf ball sized bit of the mousse into two sides (two golf ball sized bits of mousse) and scrunched and scrunched. Then, I diffused. After diffusing I got another golf ball sized bit of mousse and scrunched again (I scrunch as well as diffuse with my head upside down) and today, instead of a "mess of curls" like usual I have defined, rope-like curls all over my head. I LOVE it!! I've used multiple types of gel; nothing has EVER worked like this. I guess there's something to be said about the curling mousse. I'll let you know how the Suave mousse works out once I get that.

I actually used BOTH of the curling mousses I picked up yesterday equally, so I can't tell you which one works what way but I am super pleased with today's results.

I'm definitely a "curly" 2c. Sometimes curly and sometimes just wavy upper layer with a ringlety under layer. My hair has been thick and coarse since birth. Strawberry blonde in color that can and does change depending on the type and amount of light.

All in all, I'm happy with my hair type but almost for sure think yours is prettier.

If you ever feel like splurging try Oscar Blandi Hair Lift mousse. It's amazing. Best mousse I've tried. It's really great for almost every type of hair.

I love mousse. I've been using my DIY okra jelly again and am very satisfied, but I will still always keep a can of mousse around!

Too bad Oscar Blandi's products are not available in here (Malta). I'd love to try that.
