I'm speechless! Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding Rave :)

*Disclaimer*

Don't try this at home My fine 3a hair seems to like really rich products, so I don't know how this would work for others

*End Disclaimer*

Sort of a long story, but I've been on a no-buy because of being in-between jobs and having crazy vet bills and I'm hoping (crosses fingers) to be relocating for a job soon so I've been trying to use up everything I have.

Also, my hair has been growing out from a pixie cut so as I get more length different products seem to work better.

My normal HG routine is to leave in some OneC and then use just a teeny bit of Angell and some shea butter throughout the day when I want to refresh. The less I do to my hair the better for me.

In an effort to use up my GF curl and shine leave in I've been just leaving in a gob of that without any other product. I finally got rid of one bottle yesterday but I was looking under the sink for what to use up next.

I saw a tub of Miss Jessie's curly pudding that I got in a swap. First time I tried it was a disaster. I thought about just throwing it away as it was the one thing in the product graveyard I thought would NEVER work. But I also wanted to take a hot shower last night so I decided to play with it thinking I could just take another shower in the morning.

So, I left in some Too Shea and applied the curly pudding on dripping wet hair and then scrunched with a towell. At this point I was tired so I diffused to get an idea of what it looked like.

After diffusing I came out of the bathroom and my BF looked up and asked how my shower was. He then looked back at his computer, typed for a second, then looked back up (an actual double take) and said "your hair looks amazing, what did you do?"

This is the first such reaction I've ever got. It was amazing. It was bouncy and soft and curling all OVER the place! I was speechless. He couldn't stop touching it!

I had no hope for second day hair. Second day hair for me usually means a hairband or pulling it up anyway. But this morning I just sprayed it with some water, shook it out, and I swear my second day hair is better than my usual first day hair!

I can't believe it.

If it smells good put it in your hair, if it tastes good spit it out!
I have 2b/3a hair that seems to like rich products, too. Now I have to check this stuff out !

ETA: Wow, I just checked out the price on this stuff - a little too expensive for me . Curl Keeper is the only thing I'll spend that much on and even then I have to breath deep .

Man.. my PJ sense is tingling!
3B with some 3a. Fell off but am now back on the CG bandwagon and looking for my HG products.
i've been tempted to try this... my hair doesn't usually like creams, though. but... i'm a 3b/c/a, so maybe....
3B corkscrews with scatterings of 3A & 3C.
It does the same with my hair, though I've never diffused. I have pics in my fotki on my www link of my hair with the Curly Pudding.
I'm a 3b, with 3c underneath.

Used to be CG, now I'm not. Using Suave Aloe & Waterlily shampoo & condish, JoiWhip, BRHG, Suave Aloe gel, Aussie Tizz No Frizz, and anything else that looks good!
My Myspace!
I agree that it is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too expensive to continue my love affair with this stuff

I have probably a week's worth left - I'm just going to live it up while I can and then on to the next item to use up.

*sigh*

...and to think that I literally had it in my hand getting ready to toss it straight in the trash!

ETA - I think I also read about a 2c with fine hair but lots of it getting similar results from (the very different product from what I understand) Blended Beauty Curly Frizz Pudding. What is it with puddings??
OMG, LOOK!!

...It's a siggie.

I will definitely check out the 4 boards. I used quite a bit for my hair (it is just below my chin wet, shorter when dry of course) probably 2 tablespoons.

I left in a good sized gob of Too shea while still in the shower with dripping wet hair, raked that in, then scrunched in the curly pudding - pretty much saturated my hair with it.

What is so surprising is that I'm normally almost product free - my hair really doesn't look good with lots of product and I hate that producty feel. With the curly pudding I don't feel producty at all even tho for me it was an astonishing amount of goop!

My hair is completely and utterly non-crunchy. Not even a little. It says on the tub that it won't get hard and that is the truth. In fact my hair is a little fuzzy right now, but just because I've been playing with it all day

I've ransacked my apt looking for batteries for my digital camera because *sigh* I left it on and it is dead. I shall try to take a pic sometime this week before I run out!

I think I'm partially so surprised because I never hear it talked about and even when I googled reviews other places it really didn't seem to be that popular

I decided to go on a hunt to see if MJCP was cheaper out there somewhere when I found a page that this gal said she uses Fantasia IC Hair Polisher Styling Gel as a substitute for MJCP! The page is here and is about half way down. She was bemoaning the price of Miss Jessie's stuff, too! Might be worth a try!
