Does Anyone Else Plop "Backwards"?

By backwards I mean with the hair at the nape of your neck vs on top of your head. My hair is 2c and I find plopping with my hair flipped creates tangles and chaos on my head and trying fixing it causes me to disturb the curls too much so, it isn't worth it. My back layer also ends up stretched out and that looks weird since my hair is already layered.

I never thought of this. I'm also 2C, and I've been so frustrated with the mess of tangles that my hair always turns into after plopping...and my underlayer gets wonky! You may be on to something here!

I've been doing it for a while, but I just finally accepted that the other way doesn't work for me.

I ruined a great hair day on Sunday trying to do the traditional plop! I tried the super soaker method and decided to try to plop to go along with it. My curls were so big and defined, but after plopping they were all over the place, tangled, and my part was gone. Then the unnderlayer got funky and after sorting alll of that out I had a bunch of frizz and a lot of the curls pulled out

Back to my backwards plop lol.

Okay, so I tried but I can't figure out how to actually do it! For a regular plop, you kinda stand on your head and then tie the T-shirt or whatever around your head. How do you do it your way?

So I tried it today and its a to easier with a turban: gather/arrange your curls into the "bowl" of the turban and then just pull it up and secure.

Yep, but then my roots end up flat. It really depends on what I'm going for that day.
Hair Type: 3c/4a, Coarse, Med-High Density, Med-Low Porosity
CG since '09
don't plop my hair completely dry so I can still lift and clip the roots while I diffuse.

Y'all are going to think I'm nuts but I've been thinking about two plops somehow... One for the top of my head and one at the nape of my neck - can't figure out how to make it work yet - and can only imagine how silly I'm gonna look with various tshirts smashed and secured to my head (I'm picturing Rick Moranis in Ghostbusters with the helmet thingy).
