I know I should avoid humectants in styling products during certain seasons. Does that include avoiding them in leave ins too?

If you're sensitive to humectants in high or low dewpoints, they're usually fine in rinse out products but could be problematic in squirrely dewpoints.

I guess if you are sealing your hair it might not be as big of an issue. YMMV and trial and error is the only way to know!

I am sensitive this way and avoid humectants in my leave in products most of the year. We seem to only have optimal dews for about 4 months total during the year. (Too bad they aren't all on consecutive days!)

Smorgasbord of finer, porous 2a-3a; straight underlayer

collagen
humectants outside of optimal dews, PVP, oils/butters, anything remotely comedogenic

Mod CG since 11/2012. My waves occasionally look best when combed out, so you can pry my combs from my cold, dead hands
