It's Not Frizz, but ...

I have a halo of what looks like frizz, but isn't. My hair was so damaged, it was snapping off, so now I have all these little one hair curls, an inch or two long, just sticking straight up.

Gel works for a little bit, but then I get to work and I have tiny little curls sticking up looking like frizz. There's just nothing for them to clump to, really, and they're so short, they go out instead of down. Pomade helped, but made me look really greasy. (Fine, thin hair problems.)

Any advice, or is this just one of those things I'll have to live with until it all grows out?

3a (at the moment), fine, thin, highly porous, no elasticity (bleach and heat damage)
most luck so far with KCKT and KCCC with a little jojoba oil to SOTC *tried diffusing! wow!*
LALSG for high humidity
SM Weightless Texture Spray for refreshing
gelatin PT 2x per week, DT 3x per week
I have these too. Pretty much have to live with it. A good gel helps a lot.

As long as I'm not the only one, that helps. Thanks!

I have those too. Lol. I haven't found a way to lay them down. On the bright side, your hair is growing.

I have them too. Some days they are much more pronounced than others, especially when my hair isn't moisturized enough. But even with moisture, they have minds of their own and will often stand straight up.

Fine, curly/wavy, prone to breakage. Still figuring out curl pattern...3A on some days (only w/ product), 2C on others (but not coarse). Would love help on hair-typing! Low porosity (I think). I thought it was low-density, but a hairstylist told me I have tiny hairs growing in underneath that break, so that's why it's thin). Product junkie; will update when I settle on a routine. Experimenting. (Join date is '13 but I only really started using this site in June '16. Feeling hopeful).
Yep, me too. Except that mine are along my part and stick straight up like antennae! I suspect that these are just new strands rather than damage, because I've had them for years - LOL, I recall a student in a 7th grade class just losing it one day, and he was terrified to explain his giggles. Finally he burst out, "You have all these hairs sticking up like a little Mohawk!" He was so afraid he was going to be in trouble, but I just laughed along with him. Teaching often reminds me to not take myself so seriously.
2c, medium texture, normal elasticity, medium/high density
Low porosity, protein- and coconut-sensitive
*Raises hand* me too. And I also messed up cutting my hair, doing this crazy short layer much closer to my scalp. It's growing out now but because it's so much shorter than my other hair will stick straight out in weird ways.

2C/3A/f/i
Baby fine hair, medium porosity

I have em. Big time. Because Im such a big shedder, Im always dealing with new growth. I have to just wait em out. Eventually they get long enough to clump with the others. But in general I always have a wave of stick-er up-ers slowly trying to make the curve over my crown.
Mostly 2b but ranges a-c front to back
Low/med density, course, high porosity
