Can't use Loob!

Anyone else not be able to use this product? I finally found it after months of searching and used it for about a week with puzzling results. I used a very small amount (1 finger dipped) and it dried my hair out terribly. I had spots that were stringy and others that refused to curl. Even mixing it with Pink Boots for moisture didn't seem to work. It sounded good and was cheap. I really wanted to like it. Any ideas which ingredient in this is drying?
I used loob a few times , it only worked about twice then it quit working , i always got stringy non clumpy curls and some pieces didnt curl right..i used it with CCSS, RR, Boots, etc and it still didnt work . its sitting in my product drawer collecting dust , just might swap it on the board but i dunno what to swap it for yet.

I found it OK, but not remarkable. It made my hair stringy and kinda stiff. I use GF Shine Brilliantine Cream Gel now in between my leave-in and plopping and before I use HE SMU, with much better results.

And I'm with you guys... I tried everything with LOOB, and it always looked crap. Stringy, no curl, and stiff and dry feeling. Ick.

searching for products that work...
I got great results with it for the first 4 - 5 days then my hair started to get really dry in spots. Mostly the back. It got frizzy with no curl. The sides looked heavy. I even tried clarifying and doing a DT but that didn't help. Everytime I put the LOOB in, frizz and heavy. So I stopped using it and my hair is smiling now once again.

Darby, that sounds just like my experience with it. Off to the swap board it goes.
Nope, right from the get-go it didn't do much for me either. I just sold it on the Swap Board and I hope that it works for my buyer.

No more PJ tendencies. Tigi Curls Rock Curl Amplifier is the best thing to make my curls rock all day! Next best are KCCC and Re:Coil +HE TT Gel.
Didn't work for me either. Nor the Tightly Wound. Le sigh.

It's ok for me but not absolutely fabulous. I didn't find it drying but after a day or two I start feeling a little weighed down. I've put it aside for now but I'll try again later. Maybe it'll work out differently this summer.
I'm super happy with the Tightly Wound though. It's a great wavie gel!
