Soooooooo Aggravated--Vent

I've been trying to transition my hair from blowing it out to wearing it curly. I just purchased the shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioner, and curl booster from the Curls Rock/Catwalk line. I tried it last night, let it dry, and even allowed myself to sleep with my hair curly. I only put conditioner in my hair in the shower and the leave-in conditioner. I squeezed out the water from my hair as well, barely using the towel on the ends (definitely NOT on the front because that's where it gets the most frizzy).

UGH I hate the results. I don't have the big, loopy curls. Instead, I have small, scraggly, frizzy curls (I didn't take a picture because I was so unhappy).

I'm just so bummed out right now. I've been trying to do this for a while, and it's just not working out. I just washed my hair again and I'm going to straighten it for work because I just couldn't go in with my hair looking like that. Sorry if this was a long, whiny vent, but I'm just so bummed out.

What am I doing wrong?
I was introduced to the curls rock line with the Amplifier, which is a lovely product, thinking the rest would be the same I went out and spend loads on the whole range and ended up with the same results as you.

The shampoo and conditioner weren't moisturising enough and to harsh, the leave in was about as moisturising as alcohol and the booster was gross.

I'd recommend that you cut out the leave in and booster and use the shampoo and conditioner alone with other styling porducts. So you don't waste all of your money.

I'd still say dont rule out purchasing the amplifier if you can, it's my HG product and works (for me) on it's own, leaving in a bit of conditioner too.

Just out of curiosity what is the texture, type of your hair, I'm sure someone on here will be able to recommend something.

Don't give up please, you will love the results eventually it's just all about finding the right products for you and then you'll be loving curls.

Thank you so much for your advice.

I have fine hair with just really tight curls--I believe that makes me a 3B. The hair on the crown and towards the bangs are the curliest by far! A few months ago I cut the front of my hair short (seemed like a good idea at the time) and I have other layers of varying length throughout my head. I've been waiting to grow out my hair so that my hair can be weighed down and not frizz, a la last night.

Interestingly enough, my ends were pin straight althrough really frizzy. Should I get my ends trimmed to solve this problem?

Thanks so much for the support! I really appreciate it.

Don't lose hope, Lizzy. Your hair will thank you for the break from blowing out!

searching for products that work...
Thank you!

Honestly, I really just want the option of doing my hair both ways--but I would love to become "one" with my curls so I can keep the curly hair as an everyday style, and straighten it on special occasions. I DREAM of that day, lol.

I started using Garnier Fructis deep conditioner and the syrum on my hair when I straighten it. It makes my hair feel super smooth and I wonder if it will help me keep my curls in line. Hmmmm....
