Polyquaternium-4 could build up but Cyclomethicone will DEFINATELY build-up and need removed with sulfates.

So by 'good product' it is NOT good for the CG method, as will need sulfates to remove.

As any random product I'd say it might not be too good because of the cleansing agent in it if it's not a cleansing product.

What is it?

cleanse: OS shampoo. PureNuffStuff cleanser.
condition: Aussie 3MM. Jessicurl Aloeba.
style: B2Basics GreenTeaGel. T&G Curl Balm. JCarter Nourish&Shine.

It's a mousse. Sorry. I truly didn't mean to make a guessing game out of it. How long does it usually take for a product to build up? Does one generally have to clarify weekly or monthly? Or - gasp! - daily?

Well see - as it has cocobetaine in it, which is still odd, the polyquat-4 will come out but you will need a sulfate for the cyclo-cone. It is bottom of the list so the amount will be minimal but everyone varies for build-up time. Personally, if I use a silicone product once the next day my hair will look awful. Others can use it without using a sulfate for maybe a week until their hair gets horrible. But typical silicone buildup leaves your scalp greasy and hair lank whilst at the same time looking really frizzy and just not clumping.

If you use a sulfate it should be ok to just use everytime you wash, and I think you could get away with 3rd day hair and then just shampooing every wash.

The cyclomethicone is at the very bottom of the ingredients, so I would not worry about it. The coco betaine is probably to help the foaming of the mousse.

Other than the propellants, which potentially could be a bit drying, I don't see anything that would particularly concern me.
