formula for my recent good hair days
I've recently found a combination of products that's working well for me. These are not CG (I know the Redken conditioner has 'cones), except possibly the stuff I'm using as a leave-in, but I thought some of you might be interested.
shampoo: TresSemme Vitamin C & E conditioner: Redken Blonde Glam leave-in: Collective Well-Being Curl Tamer conditioner styling product: Garnier Fructis Curl Construct Mousse I find that "smoothing" or "moisturizing" shampoos leave a coating on my hair that doesn't allow the conditioner(s) to penetrate. I do not have blonde hair, just a few dark blonde highlights, but my hair stylist recommended the Redken conditioner. It makes my hair so soft. I purchased the Collective Well-Being conditioner with the idea of rinsing it out, and used it that way at first. I tried it as a leave-in on a whim, and I like it so much better than what I had been using (Garnier Fructis Sleek &' Shine). I'm not sure how widely available it is--I found it at Whole Foods. |
I did get a couple of spontaneous compliments on my hair lately, one from a hairdresser. I must be doing something right!

That is great!! I just purchased the Curl Construct Mousse from Garnier, I'm looking for a new mousse to replace my HG mousse, condition 3-1 since it's discontinued. I like to alternate gel and mousse sometimes.
Congrats on the good hair days! It's so nice when you find something that works! |
I have been having great hair days for the last couple weeks. I bought Dove's ProAge conditioner and Dove's mousse for curly hair because I had coupons, and have been using them together. I don't know if it's the conditioner or the mouse or the combination...whatever the case my hair always looks great after! The conditioner is SO THICK. I thought I'd have a hard time distributing it through my hair but, it wasn't so bad. Tomorrow I go in for a color and trim, so my good hair days will be over for awhile. I don't know why but, every time I go for a color I loose some curl definition for a few days. Oh well. Just thought I'd share if you'd like to give these products a try. I have 3b hair.
